Hi Folks had my head under the bonnet for a bit today and down by the battery I've found an electrical connection not connected to anything and a pipe clearly broken off something. The car seems to run fine but on the basis Nissan didn't put spare bits and jokes in could someone please tell me what they are. the other end Many thanks in advance

Hi Guys, i need some help and advice here, i've got a set of wheels which have a circular nut cover as shown in the picture. once this is put on, a 50mm odd dia nut goes down the thread to cover the middle, giving the final appearance as shown, Now my problem is i have been looking for 2 more of these nut covers for the last 2 years with no result. So i am wondering that maybe i need to think outside the box, would it therefor be possible to make a mould using one of them in order to "cast" another 2. They have no structural use so i'm thinking why not. Only trouble is when i last did anything similar it was 35 years ago at college. So can some people give me some advice/…

Love black Z's and this low mileage UK 300zx fits the bill nicely. But I would have to get rid of the new rear lights, front lights and put the wheels on the right way  Anybody wanting a Z then check this bargain out. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-Twin-Turbo-/171876240198?hash=item28049f4b46

Hiya chaps. Hoping someone can help me out again. My odometer has recently stopped working on my clocks, the trip meter has gone all wonky so I assume that's something to do with it? It's a jap import and it's had the conversion to mph. If I buy some UK clocks will they just work? Or do I need to buy jap clocks? Also I understand there are switches on the back of the clocks that might need.. Switching? Any help greatly appreciated. Oli

Seriously stuck! I hate the cheap tacky gear knob that's currently in my car, but it's the only one I have. Looking to buy a new replacement and for the life of me cannot decide on one! I'm somewhat tempted by something like this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=181790221977&alt=web However the seller needs me to provide dimensions of a standard gear knob for him to figure out the depth of the bore etc... Frustrating Has anybody got any recommendations for decent aftermarket gear knobs? .

A common question many owner ask: How does MeisterR coilovers compare to other brands? As coilovers are only part of a car's suspensions, and there are many other variable involved; it is often a difficult questions to answer. So I want to bring up a very interesting "test" that we will be doing. Here in Houston USA, I meet a driver at a local SCCA Auto Solo event name Lucio D'lsep. Lucio was an Italian racing driver back in the early 2000's, and have decided to get back into competitive motorsport after being absent for over 12 years. Here is a picture of him in the former glory days racing with Osella in Rechberg (Austria) back in 2002. Lucio'…

  9. Curious to know what a z32 would sound like with just straight through stainless 3inch pipes and no back boxes/silencers? Like it's blowing? I've started it with just downpipes on it and it sounded like a tractor lol Wanna have 3inch custom pipes all the way to the back with no silencers but hVe welded bolt joins at the end where the bad boxes would be so I can have the option of running with or without them. Am I mad?

Hey Guys, Have been watching this car on fleabay and wondering - how much worse could the rust be? Keen to hear from someone who has tacked this before - FYI I am happy to have arches, sills welded etc. Thanks guys - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300zx-Targa-3-0-280-BHP-Manual-Japan-Import-/181816523252?hash=item2a551bf9f4

I'm just about to change the rear tyres on my zed. It's the first time in my ownership. I'm wondering if they are the correct size. Reason being is that when i look on tyreleader i only get 3 options :-o I'm used to having loads to pick through. My Wheels are 9j x 17" and currently have 165 40 17 tyres. Does that sound right? Many thanks Lee

I'm going to replace the filter for the line that comes into the cabin for the Greddy boost controller and aftermarket gauge. Would a fuel filter from a motorcycle do the job? Do you have a filter on the line from the balance bar to boost solenoid in the bay as well?

Im making myself a set of custom boost jets to replace the welding nozzle tips that are currently secreted in Zebedee's pipework. Can anyone tell me what size the hole is in the nozzle, I think from memory its 1mm. Eventually i'm going to get rid of the jets all together but for now I want them to install using 2 jubilee clips to make it easier to troubleshoot them in future. Problem at the mo is the OD of the nozzle is about 1mm larger that the ID of the rubber tubing making it a faf to push in so i'm going to reduce the OD of the new jets to make installation a lot easier.

Thanks to Ian Greenfield, I've been involved today in a Facebook "debate" about whether it's worthwhile paying an upholsterer (myself, for example) a large sum of money to make (from scratch) an interior... or whether people should just be using "pre-fab" firms like Interior Innovations, for example, and just having the new trims fitted once they've been delivered. As I stated on FB, a lot of the pre-fab suppliers simply place the customer's order in somewhere like China or Malaysia where a team of eager little folk make the order, then ship it out. In my experience, the fitment isn't always great and the materials aren't great and in somewhere like a car cabin, the …

For the fix in this thread.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?158042-Drivers-targa-pipe-fix Is this still one of the best ways to approach this and if so what is the diameter of the metal pipe i'll probably need? Obviously I could measure said pipe when I uncover it but want to get the metal pipe before attempting the fix as it's my daily and hopefully I can do this over a couple of days off. If there are better fixes, feel free to point me in their direction :) Thanks Aaron

  23. I currently have a Q45 maf setup which seems very reliable. But is it restricting possible HP as opposed to having a dual maf setup? Question is, do I need a dual intake setup or is the current good enough for my setup? Q45 intake Single dump valve conversion with balance pipe In between. Gt25r turbos Godspeed intercoolers, with proper ducting All the unnessessary crap bypassed ie egr Catch tank. 25. Started by JaiKai,

So got my new battery loom today but the old one has an extra lead coming off it. It seems to goto a connection behind the clutch vacuum piping, my zed is a tt manual but was an auto so is this extra cable for an auto box ? Also the new loom has both positive and negative combined in one but the old is actually two separate cables.
