Hey guys Well I've finally got my engine internals back from the machine shop. Obviously, prior to assembling the bottom end I need to give anything a thorough clean. However I've come across a bit of a head scratcher. Between some of the journals there is a oil channel that runs diagonally through the crank between the main and big end journals. These are capped at one end of the oil way with what appears to be a freeze plug. You can see these oilways run at 90 degrees to the journal when you look through the oil way in each journal. So it basically carries oil from big end to main to big end through the crankshaft itself. I'm not sure on how exactly …

Having owned my Z for over decade now, I've noticed a number of things which has made me think that the Z32 has now 'become of age'. I must have thrown mine away, can't find it anywhere. I want to put the steering on a switch to loop from light city/parking steering to heavy track/enthusiastic driving. At the mo it's stuck on heavy which is good for feel but fancy a change.

Trying to check tyre pressures and one of the valves won't come off. They have metal caps on and one of them seems to have jammed onto the stem. When I get a socket on it (they are 10mm Hex caps) the whole stem, which is also metal, rotates. I've tried grabbing it with some needle-nose pliers but it still turns. I took the car to Prodrive who recommended I get a replacement stem, in case the existing one is found to be damaged when they remove the tyre. Looking online there are about a thousand different kinds. Does anybody know what sort I need, or are all the makes essentially the same? I'm noticing a slight buzzing noise from my NA fuel pump on the last few journeys, a lot like what you would get when a boot-mounted CD changer is loading a disc. It's audible on startup and at idle when active, but quiet enough that the engine drowns it out at any active level of revs. What level of noise is normal?

Can anyone con- firm that the outside diameter of a na flywheel is 240mm just shy of 9.5 inch and the man is 250mm so just shy of 10 inch. the reason for my madeness ,well im trying to mate a 355 chevy lump to a 300zx gearbox.

Where can I get one? Mine was plastic but either a plastic or aluminium one will do. It's the one from the top left of the rad. Even looked on ebay and can't even find any on there.

hi guys i think i'm looking at front torsion rods or lower arms, but when braking particularly if i'm going 5/10mph when it's most noticeable when i brake suddenly/hard it feels like something moves on the front end and springs back when i release the brakes, i noticed it more today when i had right lock on. i've got poly bushes already on my torsion bars so am i right in thinking these have failed or the lower arms have cracked?

I'm planning to make a new battery loom or at least replace the top half for new and I need to connect the old and new looms together with crimped butt joints. Anyone have any experience with this ? I've looked on the old ebay and say the following tool and also saw a video of it in use so I know it should work but not sure how to measure the wire and get the crimps needed. Hi Folks Just got back from terminal velocity at Woodbridge where I have suffered a bit of :thumbdown: We took off well (bit of burning clutch smell) 140 in fourth change up nothing left, would not go so took my foot off the gas coasted through the line at 80. Now running on 5 cylinders. Limped home and put to bed in the garage. Any thoughts on what I have broken this time with my lead foot? Cheers from your friendly neighbourhood idiot.
