Just hooked up me Datascan and got : Code 12: Air-flow Meter circuit (AFM) > Car started 17 times with this fault but the car appears to run fine. I have heard people with faulty AFM's get very poor running or am I wrong. Seems strange to me that the car 'seems' to be running ok. Any thoughts ? Will check/clean all the electrical contacts in a minute CheerZ Paul

I have had my import zed tt for a year now and i am conscious that the wet salty roads could start eating away the underneath of the car. If i jack the car up and slap on some waxyoil rust proof with a brush will that do the job or should i take it to a garage for them to spray the stuff on?

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and new to Z32 ownership. I've just bought a nice Jap import Non Turbo. I have just called the local Nissan dealer to get a quote for a timing belt change - the price is rediculous - so I'll do it myself... however, one question first. The dealer said the aircon needs disconnecting to change the cambelt... is this true? Is the engine 'safe'? Ie if the belt snaps, do the valves hit the pistons or not? Thanks Dave

Actually got my zed out of safety boost for the first time yesterday, what a difference  . Done the diagnostic which came up with coolant temp sensor and detonation sensor. Cleaned the connections on the coolant sensor, will be fitting resistor to detonation sensor as soon as I get a chance to get one. Has anyone got any bad experience from fitting resistor?

Just had to say a big thank you to Dan for his help with the HID kits that formed part of a recent group-buy. Some of us UK owners had strange connections and Dan fabricated up some conversion leads in double quick time. Great after-sale service. Also thanks to AndyDuff for finding out the specs for the leads. Cheers chaps - it's help from guys like you that makes it a pleasure to be a member, especially for the inept like me! :)

If I start my engine and let it get up to normal temp. hold 2000rpm, the o2 sensors on datascan sit at 32. If I rev to 3-4k a few times then sit it at 2000rpm they work fine, sweeping left to right. Is this normal or are they lazy. I got a new one and a nearly new one im going to fit sometime. Just wondered if the ones in there now are fine?

Ok next problem. Bled them up.WITHOUT engine running pumped the pedal and held it...pressure remains. Let it go and wait ten seconds..pedal will travel to the floor. WITH engine running pedal hits the floor and has absolutely NO pressure at all. What the hell is going on with my car?

I read this on a site about wheels: Negative Offset wheels have their mounting face toward the rear of the wheel - powerful rear-wheel drive cars often have wheels with negative offset. So does that actually mean it would be better for a zed to have negative offset? Does it really matter in terms of performance? Cheers Al

Any more tips on how to yank the ******* off? I know for sure that everything has been disconnected apart from the pipes along the back. Unless I should really do those too. The passenger side of the plenum is pretty loose and is moving quite a bit, though how ever the driver's side isnt soo loose and is a ******* to move. So, any one wanna help me a bit more!? The car's been off road for a week now.
