does anyone have a guide to the std zed colours for uk models? done a search but found nothing. Or alternatively can anyone tell me whether the was more than one red shade used for any zed Uk or Jap or should every red zed be exactly the same colour (allowing for fade in sun of course)

  3. Hey folks I might need front discs and pads soon. Any idea what's a fair price for front discs, pads and fitting? I'm pretty happy with the standard ones so will probably stick with them unless there's a good reason not to. I know some people change but I recon a stock set up in good condition with fresh fluid etc is good enough for me. (I have limited internet access - just moved house and the new supplier (ID Net) have fvcked up my new connection so I'm basically without net access for the next two weeks - I can occasionally use this Vodafone card so I can check briefly now and then.) Thanks in advance folks.

Just been watching the pics of floods on the news and thought maybe a few owners might not realise how vulnerable the TT is when they are negotiating a small amount of water! A whiule ago I bought an immaculate TT from a guy who had been gingerly negotiating a puddle a few inches deep when a lorry coming the other way caused wash. The water was drawn in and ended up hydraulicing the engine, breaking a conrod and writing engine off. I've still got all the bits and it certainly did make a mess!- just bear in mind! Regards to All Dave

Other than HID which i am looking to do in the next couple of weeks.... I remembered reading the forum a couple of years back about lining the 'inners' of the lights with reflective material (Think they were dipped, and done on an exchange basis). Has anyone done this who can comment on whether it's worth doing prior to HID or just go with HID and forget the shiny lights?!!! I read an old forum archive and MAC1 and ChrisC claim to have done this, and be doing this respectively back in 2002...any comments on doing this pre HID fellas?

Hello everybody, (Hi Dr Nick!) I am going to have my rear HICAs ball joints replaced because I've got a bit of play in the rear wheels. :nono: I would quite like to get the HICAS eliminated at the same time. Can anyone recommend a supplier/manufacturer? Is there much difference between costs and performance of different makes? Thanks, Mike...

I discovered that my Carbon Canister (located behind the passenger side intercooler) is/has been (for god knows how long) - in two pieces! Basically the base has parted company with the body! Having had some idle/cold start issues that I pretty much cured with IAA unit overhaul/cleaning - I have still been slightly aware that my car [feels/sounds like] is not what it was 'BUT' - because it has not been on the road for a while, and has a blowing exhaust I can't be sure - it's one of those 'need to drive it hard - can't drive it' scenario's! Anyway the question was - would/could the Carbon Cannister being in two pieces be construed as a vacuum leak - and t…

I'd just parked my Z in the nightclub car park and was walking to the station, so it was about 8.55am. Spotted a very nice looking Black Z driving towards the town centre from the station. Wish mine was that clean  Gaz

i found ages ago on a site that there was an alternative type of connector for the injector connectors. i think they were off of another manufacturer but still fit. they looked better at keeping the moisture out and it wasn't a spring wire holding it on but an intergrated plastic push clip. does anybody know where i can get these ones from?? i can't for the life of me find the damn website now :slap: :headvswal :headvswal

Have you managed to check the front suspension arms. check out some of the photos in this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=22382 both my front arms were fractured to the same extent as those in the pictures and I suspect at the least your nearside one is similar. when I replaced the arms with 2nd hand ones I also fitted a set of these to stop it happening again. http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/images/product%20imgs/sus014_large.jpg Also should say that when you check the car, if the arms are cracked U shouldnt use the car in the interests of road safety (ie your life). Ive gotta say that if you know what I mean ;)
