Went along with South West Scoobies guys to Interpro in Bristol for a dyno run today, got 401fwhp & 400lbft at 5300rpm. The guy couldn't take it any higher as he said it was leaning out, he reckoned due to the stock fuel filter. I can't see this happening myself as I've never heard of this happening on a Z. Could it have been my MAF maxing out? Good news is that the it had linear power curve all the way to 400hp/5300rpm & was still pulling the same when he stopped. If I can sort this fuelling out I should be hitting more like 490 @ 6500. This was at 1.15 kgcm2 (about 16psi) using a self mapped chip just to get the car running. I'm getting tempted to get my AEM i…

  6. Just bought a bomex rear skirt apron so tried it on and shopped it up to how i think i'll be going with the car in the next few months before jae. 99 spec front end will be added soon and the bonnet and nose panel will stay purple, it's just the cockpit that's changing colour ***WAITS FOR FUNKYSI TO HAVE HIS SAY***

The manual box is now in, fitted, and seem to have all gears, though it's only been tested in the air!! Big thanks to Greg who came over and assisted, (drinking tea, smoking fags, and eating doughnuts!!)   There was a few times tempers were frayed, (Waiting for cups of tea to be brought out) Took the opportunity to fit the 'Megan Racing' tubular manifolds, and de-cat pipes, and the 'Powerflow' Cat-back pipes. Got there in the end, got a few more 'under bonnet' goodies to fit, but the car should be back on the ground, and on the road tomorrow.

Hi guys, Took the car to get MOT'd Yesturday and their was a few minor things that need to be delt with but what really worries me is my high CO Emmisions. The Max is 3.50% and I got a wopping 9.13% which is obviously a fail by far. The car passed the other 3 tests which were HC - Max is 1200ppm and I got 550ppm, Idle speed and Smoke level also passed. But what can be done about the CO emmisions? The car HAS been de-catted but is very good on petrol. The car had a major service and cambelt change at Zworld which covered the usual oil change, conzults, spark plugs etc on the 26th August 06 And since then all we have done is fitted blitz DV's. Any thoughts welco…

I fixed the car yesterday putting a new nissan alternator belt on. I went for a drive and it was fine, no squeaking at all, started it just now and its awful, the squeaking is really loud. Im gonna tighten the belt up now but how tight is tight? At the mo if you press on the belt it moves about 1/2". The other 2 belts are the same but they dont squeak.

My main beam doesn't seem to work. Well it does, in the fact that when you flip the stalk, the light on the dashboard comes on and the relay cuts the dipped beam. But the main beam doesn't come on. Now it could be that both bulbs have blown, but just want to clarify that it couldn't be anything else that's gone AWOL before I order some high power bulbs from DTA.

Fitted a set of UK clocks in a Jap spec I have here, the needle moves as if it's going in KMPH. I:E Speedo says 80 for example and i know am only doing around 50ish. I've confirmed they are 100% deffo UK clocks ( spoke with Luke to confirm) so either they are faulty or summits going on with something else. Now then am hoping some kind soul will help me know one way or the other, is anyone willing to send me a UK clock unit by registered post, the day it arrives I will simply plug it in as is, drive up the road and then post the clocks back again to you by registered post, so the longest you'll be without them in total is 48hrs Max! If all works well it tells me these ones…

Ok bought one of these for my N/A now and got a couple of questions. 1. Is there a webpage with instruction on how to fit? Im guessing its quite straight forward anyway. 2. What happens to the AFM ? 3. How do you clean them? 4. Will I notice any difference other then a louder sound, its on a N/A only other mod so far is aftermarket SS Exhaust. Cheers

Hi, Has anyone else with chrome headlight inserts got a problem with them pitting? I noticed both of mine had pitted and another set I had done (for a mate) has done the same. Can you check yours and see if I'm the only one? Quite annoyed with it cos that's over £200 wasted and I now have to put them all right :( Thanks Vijay

Just had my car RR, will put the graph up in a bit but the most worrying thing is the AFR, now I believe the car is standard apart from an apexi induction kit and kakimoto cat back system. The AFR was 10.2 from 4000 rpm onwards  boost was a solid 9psi. What the hell could cause that fueling or is that safety overfueling. will be pulling the ecu tomorrow to see if it has been chipped, as the operator said the car seemed fine and just to up the boost to sort the overfueling. :slap:
