If anyone's interested i've found a novel way of creating these very cheaply. I went to B&Q and bought two shaving lights (one's with a pull cord and plastic cover). I dismantled my rear lights, using a hair dryer along the edge to soften the seal then prized open one end and took out the orange indicator lenses. I then held them over the plastic and cut out to near size as possible and smoothed of the edges with aluminum sand paper. Then i placed the cut plastic back in the light cluster and used Araldite glue in about x4 places to secure them tight. Then i put everything back together first heating the seals with a hairdryer again to soften …

hi guys, i was drivin home last night in my Hyundai accent(daily runabout) and suddenly the gear stick became all wobbly i couldnt engage any gear and the car became stuck in 2nd gear, i managed to get it home. ive removed the gear stick surround, thinking something had come loose or snaped under there, but all seems fine. am i right in thinkin that that the gears are changed via a cable, as it seems that this could have snapped, or am i barking up the wrong tree? any help apreciated cheers si

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I couldn't see it anywhere. Please click the link below to read and perhaps sign the official petition calling for the scrapping of all speed cameras, in the name of road safety. It's only been going since Thursday 8th Feb and is already in the top 16 out of nearly 3000 petitions! http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/scrapcam/ If you believe cameras are beneficial or are undecided, take a look at Paul Smith's excellent work at http://www.safespeed.org.uk :)

Yes mr bunny has finally got 4 matching alloys on his car at last and it looks mint! :hyper: :nana2: lol Better pics to come tomorrow when i give him a clean but these show just how perfectly the wheels sit on the front and the back without lowering. Went to visit Driftworks in Brum today and picked up a set of these little beauties... 25mm magnesium/aluminium spacers for 97 quid I used the 5mm spacers i got for the front wheels to push the backs out a little and here's the result (bear in mind these are all coming off for me to paint the suspension this week and the calipers ready for sunday's meet)

Hi guys, I registered some time ago because I was very interested in purchasing a 300zx but I ended up purchasing a 200sx S14a instead. The S14a was a nice car and I eventually sold it and i'm now back on the hunt for a 300zx again. This time i'll hopefully buy one and not get distracted by something else. Has anyone gone from an S14 to a 300zx or vice versa? How did you find it? Much of a difference? My S14 was running near enough 300bhp at stage 2 mods. Similar levels of torque. The 200sx was chain driven...are the 300zx's chain or belt driven? If purchasing a 300zx what "needs" to have been done to show its been well maintained? …

One on each side at the back. One of mine has the wire chopped. Obviously the cars been running like that and seems ok. Shall I just leave it running on the one or shall I sort it so both run. Dont wanna put the rocker covers on and have to take them off again! I have standard cam pulleys. Oh and cams as far as I know.

A/C hasn't worked for a long time. Condenser was shot. I've replaced the condenser and had it regassed. All electrical systems are functioning okay - and the clutch operates and runs the aircon (and cools okay)... but draws 25amps to do so. (Obviously blowing the fuse, so I was operating it directly) Has anyone had this problem and managed to solve it? or Does anyone have a replacement clutch assy (or maybe a complete compressor) that I can buy from them? Thanks. Dave

Had my Zed for 3 days and its just failed its MOT. Nothing too drastic, No reserve travel in the handbrake, O/S/F and N/S/F bottom ball joints and the horn doesnt work. Also the lowering springs are not sitting in the cup at the top of the shock and i dont think they are the correct springs for the car. Anyway, can the ball joints be fitted seperatley or do you need to fit the entire bottom arm? A set of srpings have been ordered from whiteline and we shoudl be back on the road by the start of the week. -Barry

I'm taking everything down to the engine shop Monday. I'm also having it balanced and knife edged. This is what they have requested: Heads, valves, springs. Clutch cover, Flywheel, bolts. Crank Rods and pistons Manifolds and gaskets. I don't have the manifolds yet and i told them this and they said they could make do but........ does it mean it wont be as good job as they can't match them? and what does this actually mean? Also i havn't recieved my new springs yet, my mechanic said to supply the old ones, would this be ok and why do they need the valves and springs anyway?
