General Discussions - 300ZX Related

OK If I wanted one of these in stainless steel to match up the 2fast2cool decats -> greg dupree twin backboxes, where would I go? (Short-Wheelbase.) I am a bit wary of off the shelf as it might not match perfectly? But maybe an option? Or what sort of price am I looking at getting one of these made, and where are your recommendations? I know of exhaustsUK and Alunox. Just want some input before I go ahead.

fookin ell, my maf may be fooked, driving along and it started to miss, tghen it wouldnt rev above 2500rpm, its done this before and i dried it out and it worked fine would anything else do this, also anyone got a spare maf for sale (just sold my spare one to help a fellow zedder out lol) also to the bottom left of the maf, there is a brown connector that has been dissconected (must have been like this a while) anyone know what its for (i did remove aircon maybe for that) also noticed that when it started to miss the noise from the power steering got louder (a humming noise that ive had for a while)

Hi Guys, Is there any way of checking to see if the head gasket has gone, without stripping the engine down? Looking at the oil on the dipstick, it did not appear to have any water in it, would the easyest way be to just drain all the oil from the engine sump for inspection? cheers

What are the bulbs sizes for the headlights, and fog lights on a na jap import z, because they look like h3 but dont have that string thing hanging off them

i have just been down to my local nissan dealer and they had a look at my car. I have been told i need a new knock sensor and they quoted me 24.5 hrs labour :cry: Has anyone had this done? and where did you go to?

:nono: :nono: Just bought a set of aloys with these tyres on... poor grip compared to my original Bridgestones... With the new tyres, the wheels spin in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears under full acceleration!! Scary as hell. Will get these changed to something better... Soon. I would advise not to buy these for a high performance car..

To the automatic gearbox specialist ;-) For a new gearbox/rebuild which ever is more viable.. then after that it is going back to the local garage for the oil and water leaks to be fixed :) Am so happy things are finally in motion and that the car will be cured when I get it back so at the moment i am cycling to work lol

Does anyone know where i might be able to get a replacement foglight? One of mine was smashed by a stone a fair few months ago and now looking very tatty.... Having serious problems trying to locate one the right size :confused: , it's 11cm / 4.3 inches across. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. This is the good one...

I want the hard pipes like the ones in the picture and wanted to know is the 4 in this picture one set or are the two outer ones a seperate set? Ive heard hard pipes and hard rad pipes so wanted to double check. Wheres the best place to get all four of these aswell please? :)

Well as the weather was nice today and I was bored at work I came home early and converted the inner two brake lights to fogs, was quite simple as it happens although I went about it by taking everthing apart :D radio came out back seats and everthing. But they work and will be good for the mot

hi guys i am removing hicas and cant find n/a pump etc at the moment , i like the idea of removing impellor from tt pump, can any one who has done it tell me how easy it is?? am i right in thinking if i plug inlet and outlet from resevoir, remove impellor and block spare outlet in pump (to stop c--p getting in) this is the pump mod complete?? :confused: regards steven

Well here are my new wheels in situe... NOW you may be asking, "why's he not showing the whole car?" WELL that's where the fun starts... They came off a zed right? Correct What i didn't think about before i bolted one on was the fact that the front TT calipers are 4mm wider than their NA siblings :headvswal SO been up to Slick Pete's to get his advice and we've settled on me swapping my calipers and discs for his spare na setup temporarily. So after being without the car for 3 days while they sorted out the f*** up with my brakes at the cost of 50 quid, i now have to shell out another load of money just to get them to fit arr…

i fitted the lambo light conversion 2 weeks ago before taking the car for full respray. When i picked the car up and got it home i noticed the lights are playing up - it seems to be blowing bulbs (although they dont look blown) but as soon as i put a spare in their ok again. The brake light does not seem brighter than the driving lights (when i have lights on you cant notice the brake lights. Is it possible that i have wired the brake lights and the drivng lights the wrong way round and what could cause the bulb blowing all the time. Hope this makes sense - any help much appreciated

I am looking at replacing my front tweed seats and I am looking for a recaro or cobra type seat, not there racing style seat but a comfortable hugging seat pref material not leather in black or dark grey. I am also preferably looking for a straight swap or one that comes with rails that will be a straight replacement. Heated would be nice but not neccasary and they need to be reclining with a tilt mechanism for people getting in the back. Has anybody bought and fitted anything like this?? where from and how much?
