Just fitted the new engine and it has an ebay unorthordox type crank pully on it. the stock fan/alternator belt is now the wrong size. to the people running these, what size belt are you using (should say on the belt) mechanic found one that fit but its old and squeeks like a mouse on crack! It has no markings on it so cant tell the size. Got it fitted to get the car running, need to get the size without taking it off again to trace round it if possible.

Hi Guys, I am looking to get some dials and wondered what other people had gone for. I quite like the smoked look and pref would like something that goes with my blue dash lights .e.t.c. I dont want to spend an absolute fortune but want something half decent. p.s I am only looking for oil pressure and water temp as my boost controller is on show in place of the old clock. Any advise welcomed. Thanks :D

I have a very loud and rather embarasing squeek coming from my rear end :x: its in time with the revolutions of the wheels but i can't destinguish that is coming froma specific side. Its only under power not breaking. That includes coasting (in an auto) at low speed etc Doesn't seem to change if i pull the handbreak up a bit Could it be a warn bush making puting the axle in a slightly wrong position?? Or the handbreak disc or pads (if it has them??) Diff??? I'm sure its not coming from one side.

With all the rain we been having lately Ive noticed the zx is a bit of a handfull, now I expected 300 bhp to the rear wheels to raise the pulse when pressing the loud pedal :xxx: , but I find the rear breaks away when not accelerating just cornering. The rear tends to drift when the fronts planted and no acceleration, is this the norm? Not sure if the HICAS is working properly although no warning lights, dare say rear tyres although very new are a very cheap make. Is there anything else I should be checking out?

Hello, Just got my lovely Z, spent lots of time/money tidying it up a bit, and then this... Couple days ago in the sodding rain it wasn't firing on all cylinders but then sorted itself. CAT overheat light came on briefly. Then yesterday going up hill it wouldn't rev cleanly. Didn't sound particularly bad but might have only been dropping one cylinder. So I thought (seeing as it's reading 1/4 tank) dodgy fuel. This morning on the way to work, similar not revving happily. On way home from work it died. Towed home :( Now it'll turn over fine, just won't start. It nearly does (on about 2 cylinders) but second you start turning it over nothing. ECU diagnostic gi…

Just been down to cornwall in the Z. Had a slight problem that after a high speed run and a sit in the traffic it started to not fire properly. Would then clear and turbos would kick in and all would be fine. After stopping for a while and starting off again all seemed fine. Ths happened a couple of times over the weekend and colminated in the car park at stonehenge. The car dumped some radiator fluid. It turned out to be the cap was loose by a 1/4 turn and one of the brakets had bent making the radiator loose. Put more fluid in, pushed the braket back down and tightened cap correctly and the Z has done the 100 mile or so run home, all be it at a sensible speed,…

ok i know i've asked about wheels a few times but these ones are special order and allot of dosh. I'm ordering 10's for the rear. but the front i have the choice of either 9's or 8's i've been advised both sizes so confused. The guy is calling me back shortly to confirm order. i'm going for 295/35/18 on the rear and 235/40/18 on the front, hope that's correct also. just to clarify they are wider rear arches. Thanks, thakns, thanks.

Is it getting certain parts coated in a heat resistant metral e.g. ceramic coated etc. It was suggested to do this but is it really worth it and make difference? Sounds pricey to me.
