hi Could someone send me a picture of a tt manual gearbox on engine so I can see where starter motor sits. a nat asp comparioson pic would be utopia. doing a kitcar using the z running gear and have sourced a TT engine and on hunt for manual gearbox. would just like to know what I'm looking for and if there are any model boxes I sj=hould avoid. thanks to all who can help my email for pic is ps@ev898.wanadoo.co.uk all the best Paul

Went down to Cornwall today and some C**t has hit me up the ass.... :cry: and practically wrote my z off... :rant: I am devastated and lost for words, so just thought I would tell you all. Going to sort it all tmw but have been told by a mate who is dealing with it it will be a right off.... :cry: :cry: :cry:

how much approx would you pay for 99+ manual tt in japan, there is no prob importing one here and im seriously buying one late this year or early next if the price is right

Hi everyone"Old Git" here ,new member ianj South Wales. Probably a very silly question but here goes!! I have a 1993 Jap auto TT. I have read about blow off valves,1/ Do I need one on an auto?? I am not concerned about the noise they make but would they help in keeping the turbos in good nick etc. Any feedback gratefully received.

having problems trying to get engine off auto box in car lifts so far with the hoist then stops lifting engine and starts lifting the whole car can anyone give me some pionters please what am i doing wrong thanks in advance p.s as many pointers as poss please :hyper: :bow:

Hi Im in the process of buying an 89 zed,went for a test drive all seemed fine but the abs light stays on constantly but does stop well and the boost gauge does not work at all,which the owner said ''is a comman problem'' ? i can feel it boosting but im coming from a starlet turbo to this and i wouldnt know if it was boosting properly anyway is this true that its a commen problem or should i just walk away? please help as i dont wanna waste my hard earned money!! many thanks.

Are there any manuals like the Haynes guide avaliable for the 300zx. My car knowledge is general is basic. My knowledge about the 300zx engine is none existant and I really would like to built upon it in anyway possible. Something as simple as a basic engine map would be a big help

I've taken some injectors out of my car that look like 555's but it says Nissan on the top in the middle of the part number. Also on the blue plastic section that surounds the feeds it says made in Japan and the 46-00. Anyone know where I can get a definative answer? Mr Nissan is no help Anyone know the Nismo 555's part number and what it says on the blue band round the middle where the feeds are?

Saw one today, first one Ive seen on the road for months. Its was going the oposite way, about to go into an horrendous down pour, i just came out of. May of had an aftermarket front bumper, was very loud.

I've found a broken manual z not too far away . Only thing is it's n/a. If it does suit and i need other parts for the convertion would it make it messy, should i just hold out till I find a tt box? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

First is the clutch, possibly. Drove to cardiff from bristol with no silly stuff parked up outside my mates house for 20 mins and when i got bck the car the clutch was really heavy and it felt like it was slipping in 3rd but only in 3rd. got back to his house and left it for about an hour, when i got back in it was absolutly fine and no problems since.(?) on the same day and a few times since ive got out of the car armed the alarm and the left hand indicators have stayed on and have had to turn the alarm on and off a few times to get them off. Anyone?

As title! How many of the 300zx Owners on this Forum have spare engines for their 300zx in case they need them?

Hi. Can anyone tell me how to remove the long vent that runs along the dash under the windscreen plz ? I don't want to try to force it as I have a nasty habbit of breaking things, :confused:

i've just fit it the 99 spec back lighs and the driver side is not working ,even my old one is not working now,the brake light and the indicator is working is just the light that is not working,is there any fuse separate for the driver side back light ?

hi ive just cleaned out the throttle bodies and induction kit and disconnected negative from battery now ive just started it and there is a loud knocking noise coming from the top of the engine please help i dont wanna be zed less :confused:

I've got a set of R33 GTR brembos heading my way :nana2: :nana2: and I need to get some pads for them. A lot of people have told me to get Ferodo DS2500 and a couple of others have said get Hawk pads. What do you motley crew think I should do? And who stocks either of the above? Thanks, Mike...

My Z currently has the two seperate cd player and radio (standard nissan) i want to take them both out and put in a double din cd player... Do i have to cut the middle plastic bar between the two or can i get a suitable double din surround...? Cheers Guys

The Picoo Z radio controlled helicopter for £20 haha! best distraction from work I've ever had. Almost as good as forums!! Got it from Maplin here: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=220841&TabID=1&source=1&doy=25m7 You've got to tune it a bit to make it fly right. You set the trim up until it doesn't spin on itself. Then go forwards by kind of waving it right and left a little bit. Its not easy and I've not really got it yet but its great fun crashing it horribly! doesn't seem to break either. All the body is polystyrene! It only lasts ten minutes then you have to plug it into the controller to charge it up again.

bit of a pointless thread really but an hour ago the clock on my car turned to 130,000 miles, on my uk spec tt dont want to tempt fate by saying any more, btw its running great
