SO i went to the dyno yesterday but I already knew that the score wouldn't be impressive as I'm running only 0.9bar (14psi) and the AFR at full boost is 10.0 (and the AEM wideband can't read below 10.0 so maybe less...) here is the graph: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/307/p1010478zq1.jpg Why am I boosting only 14psi with my engine? because I can't boost more so here is my question: I have a greddy TD05-16G turbo kit with external wastegate and I'm running a greddy profec B spec 2 boost controller. Can someone make a drawing that explain me how to connect the profec B and where to connect it on the wastegate? thank you for the help.

Started my baby yesterday morning and an awful lot of smoke poured out of the exhaust, left and right.... Smelt a little oily, but...after a short drive, cleared completely. Now it's either the PSV, the turbo's are dying, or there is an oil leak into the turbo's. Boost is still fine, and my oil pressure appears ok.... I don't want my tubs to be dead or dying..... NOOOooooo :headvswal

hi there, car is up and running and enjoying it, boost controller fitted and holds boost perfectly, I am boosting to about 11 to 12 psi, only problem i get is that sometimes as I accelerate I can hear pinking, I have checked the ECU and get a code 55 so thats all ok, done the timing and thats spot on, so any ideas what would cause this? do I need to chip the ECU to provide more fueling under acceleration? anyone got one spare, lol Thanks Brian

Aiming for around 500hp and the kit from Z1 seems good. Can I keep the engine stock or do I have to replace some parts?? Also.. Got a manual but might put in an engine from an auto. Is there anything that needs to be done/replaced?

My girlfriend has crashed my car. Unfortunately it appears it is a write off and as she was only 3rd party so i am trying to ascertain what is salvageable :( The rear wheel hit the curb with enough force to crack off a piece of the edge of the alloy and actually bend the wheel inwards at the bottom. How would the suspension, hicas arms etc have likely fared? I just had brand new KYB AGX fitted so would be good if they were still intact. Thanks One more zed down.....

Finally my tyre woes are over, You see when i brought my car in 2006 the goodyear tyres that came with the car had gone all hard from the trip over from Japan. The hard rubber made the tyres make this rolling sound which when all 4 wheels where on was very loud and annoying to listento. About 1 month after owning the car i got what i thought were 6 zx rims with good tyres on them to only find 6 skyline rims with 3 x 2 different pairs of tyres on all 6 rims Anyways atm they were better then the tyres that came with the car so i made do with the tyres i had. A few months back i finally transfered my 2 rear tyres from the skyline rims to my zx rims but couldnt do …

That is the question. Evening peeps. Before I invest in decats is it worth in in your opinion? Jap spec TT '90 with apprx 70k mile (114000km) on clock. Car has trust cat backs already fitted and I'm waiting arrival or apexi air funnel. I'm concerned about speeding up turbo wear against potential realistic driving gains. It's an auto has been well looked after and I will be doing about 5000-10000 a year in it. Hate to have the pipes done and 12 months later have the turbos pack in costing £1000's that I don't have. Any advice or experience would be cool

I have got to a few Z meets and it is so cool to meet up with the Z people ..see their cars, swap advice, trade and have a great drive and a good time...I reckon it would be even better if more Z drivers came along and got into it..these cars are spectacular in a line up and can't get over how unique each car is;even when same colour ,everyones done something different...These cars like long distance drives ..Hit the open road and get to the meets ! Cheers Rich

A question for the guy's in the know. A 8.5x19 front wheel fitted with a 235 tyre, with an offset of +28 BUT.. I also have to fit a hub adapter, which is 1.25 inch thick.. Will the wheels overhang the arches too much, and look like "Super fandango's" ? Thanks for any advice :)
