whats that noise when you have the boost set too high like a cracking/electric noise from the front of the engine?????? I fitted my manual boost valve and had to adjust the boost its set at 14 psi now but while i was adjusting and test driving i was running too high boost and adjusting down till that noise went away. when the noise dissapeared i reduced the boost another quarter turn just to be on the safe side.... Car is running sweet but just curious bout that noise.....

  2. Right... I have a 93 Uk spec LWB TT zed. It has 80k on the clock and is an auto. It had a cambelt changed less than 1k ago. I took my 300 out for a spin this morning. Coming off a roundabout it went a bit sideways. Anyway, I caught it before it went too far and headed off up the road. When I put my foot down it was severly down on power. I got it home, popped the bonnet and there was some smoke coming from the back of the engine near to the oil dip stick. When I put my car down the car boosts on the guage as normal but there is no power, it feels like an N/A! I think I can hear the turbos hissing - could I have blown off a boost pipe …

Hi all, Been building up many jobs on my 300, got a few days to fix them. Problem 1, Noisy belt drive when using heater. New problem I noticed this morning. When I turn the heater system on and it's not on the screen it gets very noisy at this point. I'm guessing something has worked it's way loose but as it's such a pain in the ass place to get to I'd like some heads up on common problems. Picture of offending item Youtube video so you can hear the problem and see which bit is engaged to cause the noise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7npIcQjSkEY Thank you v muchly, more to follow! :)

Just drove home from work and as much as i love my little N/A i've decided it's time to join the obruT club, so i've written my letter to santa but if he doesn't come through then i'll be looking to get one at the end of jan, it comes down to needing more power. But for the money i'd have to put into the N/A I might as well just save and get a tt. :D

89-94? 94-98? 99-00? or none? other, ie shopping trolley?.. ..for those of you thinking, ffs what has this pratt been taking.. here are some helpful pointers... 89-94... 94-98... 99-00... none... other... i personally am not a big fan of any spoiler available for the zed and i also think that, particularly on 'non wide arch' models, it doesnt look quite right without a spoiler... therefore, for me, the spoiler of choice would be the 94-98 jobbie as its quite rare and unique but doesnt look as out of place in comparison to the 99spec imo :D

Hey guys i has been awhile since Ive posted here and I thought Id just drop in and say hello. As some of you guys know I have been fabricating something for our Zed cars. Its a motor and tranny jig. We finally got the prototype done and would like to know what you all think about it. The jig can handle over 1500 lbs and is solid as a rock! I know most of you guys will not see this useful but some might as they are doing swaps and whatnot! It will be very helpful as in determining if there is any leaks in the motor before putting it back in and hooking up the tranny and everything like that. This will save allot of time and aggravation. We already have about 10 to 12 or…

Hello, was wondering what the symptoms are of a leaky radiator cap? I seem to be putting in a lot of water each time i check, however its the same amount each time which is making me wonder if the pressure is not holding in the radiator and its squirting out the top? There is evidence that water is coming out under the cap and dripping down the side. Roughly, what level should the water be when you look into the radiator when its hot/cold? The temperature guage on the dash registers properly (it slowly goes up, then sits just below 90degrees), but recently ran a conzult check on it, and along with the boose sensor the water temp sensor was not signaling t…

I've just bought a second set of Ganador Mirros that say they'll fit a Z32 300ZX... Once again the base plate supplied is too small and looks like it would fit a S13 200sx as the triangle is the same size when i've put it next to one!!! Has anyone else had any problems with being sent the wrong base plates or how the hell do you get them to fit without pissing around and modifying the original base plate with filler etc! Any suggestions to help me out would be welcome as i've got 2 lots off them now just sitting here!!!
