So on Saturday, I headed west to Infinity Exhausts - next door to Jimmer - to have a nice new exhaust built and fitted.... ........It looks just like the BB system from America, so the tails fill the apertures in the rear bumper very nicely. I didn't go for an X- or H-pipe link, keeping each side separate, just like my old Mongoose. Mindful that I didn't want it too loud, the guys at Infinity added a small silencer each side, just after the cats.... So it makes a nice burble right out back at idle, yet still remains relatively quiet at motorway speeds. Plus I asked for the tails not to protrude past the rear bumper, like my old system did.... And they got everyt…

Hey, I am installing a Greddy profec B and just want to check opinions on slightly varying info between the excellent z32 wiki, manual and other online info. Wiki diagram runs the vacuum hose from NO on the valve unit to the solid intake pipe going to the throttle body after the intercooler, the manual shows it connecting to the hose at the other side between turbo and intercooler, surely there is more pressure after the intercooler, which is correct or am I overthinking it? Secondly Wiki suggests the vacuum line on the passenger side can be blocked up, other online info suggests to T into NO from both sides, I can see advantages to this in its giving a balanced read…

I have a small leak on my power steering, which I've been topping up with power steering fluid. I've since found out it needs to be automatic transmission fluid, i presume Dexron 3. To replace the power steering fluid with ATF do i need to drain all the power steering fluid out and flush it, or can i just get most of it out and top it up with ATF?

Hi all, thinking of experimenting with some DRLs, I’m looking for a switched live in the engine bay of my 96 TT. (I know I could use a DRL controller board connected to the battery but I’ve had bad experiences of weird behaviour of these on my daily driver so would prefer a simple switched live supply that’s cut out by a relay when lights are on). There is a 10A fuse for the Shift Lock in the junction box that seems to fit the bill, and as my car is a manual I can’t see that it serves any useful purpose. Wiring diagrams seem to concur, but can anyone out there confirm that I won’t generate any unintended nastiness if I tap into that supply for DRLs? I’d rather a…

Hi All, After my respray having been completed, I’m eager to get my front end covered with paint protection film, as my car will be no garage queen, it will be used a lot over the summer months. As far as I’m aware, PPF is CAD designed for each model of car - well for common cars anyway. The film is then printed in that shape to then be applied directly to the vehicle. For uncommon cars such as ours, I believe the companies cut the film to shape on your car. I will absolutely not have someone cutting a film on my paintwork! as I’m worried the process will nick the paint. Has anybody applied PPF to their cars and if so would there be a file saved with your supplie…

As you may have read, we had a small club stand at the Pageant of Motoring, held in the grounds of Sandringham, to celebrate Her Majesty's platinum jubilee yesterday.... Thanks to Craig and Gary for coming along; it was a real shame that Paul did not make it. We all missed you mate - you weren't the first and sadly you won't be the last... It just serves as a painful reminder to take care in the wet ? Despite that - and the weather - it was still a good show. Sandringham is a lovely venue, with so much more than the cars to see. That aside, here are a few car-related pics of the day.

Had an message from Mark Dodd, owner of the GTR-Registry.com website to say that JDM production data has now been added to the existing information which includes UK/European, American, Canadian and Australian records. https://gtr-registry.com/en-fairlady-z-z32-japan.php Big thank you to Mark and ryzan (Australian owners' association) for undertaking this work to provide a complete worldwide production database to the Z32 community - well done chaps! Their announcement of the new resource is here: https://aus300zx.com/index.php?threads/complete-z32-production-data-now-available.339084/

I'm on the hunt for a TT clutch booster and pedal assembly for a manual conversion. I hadn't realised these were NLA so hoping someone here might be able to point me in the direction of one. I've already spoken to Paul over at Banzai Breakers but nothing available at the moment. TIA Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Hey guys, I am regretfully selling my Z! I have it up on autotrader (2006 Silver Nissan 300 Twin Turbo Manual 3.0 for sale for £16,000 in TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE (autotrader.co.uk)) and it's been up there for a couple of weeks now but I've had no calls or real enquiries. Would you say I'm in the right price range? Any recommendations on where else to advertise it or how to sell it? Thanks!

Hi everyone I've been away from the 300zx scene for quite a while and trying to slowly get back into it. Where are the go-to stores now for parts, etc? I recall I used to use DTA and MJP but it looks like both have closed up now. Do we have any left in the UK / EU? Would be great to save on shipping and import fees if possible! And in the US is it now mainly Z1 and CZP? I'm looking to pull together parts for a manual conversion...?

Currently up for auction in the US with bidding now at $30,000 with 6 days to run. The car was listed on BAT last year and went for $46,000. Be interesting to see how much the car sells for this time around. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-11/

Hi, my late grandfather left me a 1991 300zx twin turbo - just wondering how much it is worth? He bought it new in 1991 all service history and original receipts still here, kept in an inside garage for its entire life. 89000 on the clock and extremely well looked after. Anyone any idea how much it’s worth?

Hey all, I'm in the process of recommissioning the Zed (been sat on my drive through the winter), after a battery charge, she started up first thing - yay. A smell of petrol, nothing amiss up top - but looking underneath there was petrol dropping down big time on the nearside. Quickly shut the engine down, let the petrol all evaporate and tried again......no fuel leak this time - weird. Is it possible that something (fuel regulator) was a bit sticky and caused a problem - I'm clutching at straws here. A dozen starts later, lots of idling, the leak has not reappeared - great. I'd still like to know what caused it though... Any ideas.... A…

Does anyone know where I can source some smoked side repeaters from? With my last 300zx I seem to recall DTA stocking them but they don't seem to be operating anymore. I'm hoping I don't have to buy from the US....

Another new product for the VG30DETT engine: V-band exhaust manifolds and downpipes to mount V-band turbine housings such as the latest G-series from Garrett. It is wonderful to see that companies are still prepared to invest considerable time and money to make new products for our cars (that also are designed from the outset to fit RHD cars). http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2651676/Polar-Engineering-Nissan-Z32-V-band-exhaust-manifolds.html
