Hi please help!! I picked up the engine yesterday which is complete except the Greg dupree manifolds and GT28rs turbos just needed to be fitted with the oil lines etc. My nightmare started when I tried to fit them! On the right hand side part of the block needs to be grinded back a little no major problem. But on the left hand side the HKS actuator hits the block making it impossible to fit:cry: Its also to close to the engine mount which may need cutting back. Any ideas people will be greatful Cheers Dan

Hi all, Ive taken my front water pipes off the engine today to replace the thermostat. When I took it off I noticed it had some sort of paper gasket on them both with the silcon glue. Ive tried ringing Nissans who didnt know of a 300zx :headvswal Do you mean a s14 sir? No you tw@t. Does anyone know if a gasket is availble for the pipes or the previous 2 had been made up? Cheers Dan

Hello, i noticed that my grill under the front window is slowly disappearing in small bits. What has been left, is a rather large gap which I'm wondering why was this covered up? Seems it would block a lot of heat escaping. so im wondering, surely a little grill to keep the leaves out would be all thats required? I'm figuring that its much safer than putting washers under the bonnet bolts which then put the bonnet just above the little 'catch' hooks which stop you from being beheaded... (read about that one some time ago...) These bits (sorry haven't got a picture to better explain): Is the cowling actually required (other than for cosmetics)

What is the correct running temperature for oil, My car runs at about 70'C. But if i go for a motorway blast, off boost though, the oil temp jus keeps dropping and goes as low as 55'C. So am i right in thinking that the engine is running on cold oil and can be getting damaged? Or should i just nail it everywere and keep it in boost? cheers danny

Following on from my boost controller thread. This is whats currently installed and im not even sure it is a a boost controller. Its an Apexi Air flow controller. Anyone any idea what this does, doesn't do? Apparently its wired into my ecu (thats not a definite mind). Anyone shed any light on it? If I were to simply disconnect it is it likely to cause any problems and is it juts electrical or is it anything to do with the boost? Cheers Mike

Back to normal at last, I can now gun it again after recent weeks of pussyfoot driving as the clutch which was only about 5 months old and 3000 miles was slipping. Another disappointing buy from Z1motorsport. One of the best things about my new clutch is how light it is on the pedal. My previous 2 clutches, the 1st an RPS max and the 2nd a Z1 road clutch, were as heavy as fook. Tha latter also fooked my RPS lightweight flywheel which I had anticipated when I bought the new Exedy track clutch and I also bought their version of the lightweight flywheel. It took 2 hours to complete with me holding the lamp and Jimmer juggling the spanners. He was not much of host tho' as he …
