Hi I have a problem with the connecter that plugs into the TPS. The connecter has broke or should I say that the wires have come out the connecters which are inside the connecter. Ive been unable to get the connections out the connecter. I was wondering if its possible to purchase this connecter from somewhere? Are these a certain connecter or are they used elsewhere in the engine bay? Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks Ant

I know not everyone likes the bonnets lifted at the rear by the hinges, but I did mine on Sunday. My car always runs with the temp gauge perfectly horizontal when nice and warm, now it runs just below horizontal. So the lift is making a usefull difference. As our cars get way too hot under the bonnet I think this is a cheap and effective thing to do.

This guy is the new tuning god. I have emailed him for his secrets. Oh yes, 500bhp from an airfilter, exhaust and boost controller. I can't believe some of you have wasted thousands on forged internals, upgraded turbos, injectors and intercoolers when all you needed to do was ask this guy what to do and get it 'MINGS' tuned! !:rofl: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300ZX_W0QQitemZ180291496279QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180291496279&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A7%7C240%3A1308&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 On a lighter side - it actually looks very clean and I wish him every success with his sale - I just hope the new owner doesn't expect the s…

Hi All, I know this has been covered before and there are multiple posts stating "my Zed idles all over the place" but was just wondering if there is a guide to cleaning the Idle Control Valve, i've tried searching and also had a look in the FAQ's section but can't find anything in the way of a guide. Mine seems to sit at 750 to 850 sometimes but mainly at around 1000, sometimes it idles at 2000 and can pull up a rather steep hill in first with no feet on the pedals! Based on what i've read all points to the ICV or the little yellow connector which i think is ok (i have no idea what it is but i've cleaned the contacts anyway). The problem i have is, i have…

Doing about a ton and any slight pressure on the brakes makes the steering wheel shake/judder and doesn't give me much confidence that the car has great stopping power at that speed. At lower speeds, i.e. 50-60, I'm barely able to notice it and it brakes great. Otherwise, the tracking and balancing are good, normal breaking is good with brand new front discs and pads. Do you think I need one or both of the following? E.S. Front Steering Rack Bushes @ £10+vat Tension rod bushes @ £125+vat Obviously a big difference in price...;) Do you know if they are fairly easy to fit? I mean, would either be a big job? Many thanks...

As a relative newbie to this site, I would like to thank all who have posted advice on this site. Since meeting some of you at JAE, I have found my problem with the smell of petrol or not holding revs when cold was down to a plastic bag wrapped around the air intake (thanks Groover for pointing me in the right direction) This weekend, with a lot of help from various threads, I have replaced my aerial so it now goes up and down (not a big problem but its stops the clown down our street from flicking it at his mates every time he walks past), adjusted the IAA (and found its plug was loose) and fitted a HID conversion. My god does the HID conversion make a differe…

Hi, having problems lol :) Fitted a Greddy Profec II as per spec, unattached the 6mm hoses, looped and tee'd into the valve. I'm assuming I was right in attaching to the common port and the NO side of the valve? I've took the pressure from where it's been stated in the boost controller help on here and detached the stock boost plugs I'm having a problem that i am only getting wastegate spring pressure i.e. 0.5 bar, not matter what i do to the controller. Does anyone know a way i could test the valve to make sure that's responding properly? the electrical feed to it has continuity and the controller seems to work fine. Anyone else with ideas what it c…

Hey all I am renewing my insurance next week and i have run into a bit of a problem, for the last few years i have been with A-Plan who have been great up until this years renewal which was £523.00, £73 more than last year so i contacted them and they just will not budge on the price, so i have done a bit of hunting around on various comparison websites there were a few competitive quotes but esure have come out top with a price of £343.32. Now this is where the problem starts on the moneysupermarket site they didn't have the Z32 on a 1989 only on a 1990 the earliest so that is the one i used for the quote, My Z is a jap import and on a 1989 F registration plate. ok so i …

I wonder if there is anyone in Dartford who could do me a favour if needed. Happy to send a few beer tokens for it. There is a swb TT there I would like to possibly view. Trouble is its about 3 1/2 hours from me if it turns out to be a crock 'o' crap (Welsh saying). So I was hoping someone may be able to give me the lowdown on it first. Cheers Mike

My N/A is less responsive when it's warmed up. Could this be the timing ? I have checked TPS voltage and its reading 0.43V .Also it's an auto and its sometimes reluctant to kick down when its hot, but all gears are there and changes are really smooth.Any ideas please guys.
