Hello people, After a year and a half I have got able to get started with my car that needed a new engine. Mine is a 1990 Jap Auto TT. The engine I'm putting in is a manual one. I did buy the bearing needed for a manual engine to fit in an auto car. The ECU and wiring loom and everything else is still of an auto. Just the engine as a whole was taken out of a manual car which has been dropped in the car. Now the result that one waits for when changing the engine, I can't seem to accomplish. The car is not starting. Its turning and I can hear the clicking while its turning but thats it. The plugs in there are new HKS S40i. Any ideas what I should look at or am I …

Not sure where the right place to post this is, so I'll stick it in here and let the mods decide if it gets moved/deleted :). I bought the car in October 2002. It looked very standard. It was infact completely standard. It's come along way in six years and it's been off the road for over half of that time. It was after I had compression problems and had to have the valves reseated that I decided to start making some customised changes to it. £50k+ and 6 years later the car is "almost" exactly how I want it. So what have I spent all the money and time on..... The very first modification I did was traction control. It was my pride and joy and I didn't wa…

Hi, just bought another lovely zed so back in the fold after a years break. I want to re-trim the interior completely including seats, carpets, doors etc. I also want to re-seal all of the doors to try and make it as tight as possible. My last zed was perfect in this respect with no leaks and was quiet as the proverbial mouse. This one will never be as quiet due to uprated engine, but would like to keep wind noise etc down to a bare minimum. I live in Southampton and would dearly like a local specialist to have a look at this for me. Any suggestions? Help much appreciated. Bob

  13. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok heres a vid of my throttle sound when blipping, hard to hear with the video but you can see that when blipping it takes a few milli seconds before it revs which makes it difficult to pull away sometimes, I also want andy to have a look at the aiv solenoid bypass i done, Just to be sure its correct. SPC in Horsham West Sussex has now got a new owner Phil. I have taken my car there and they did a brilliant job, I know of at least one other member taking his zed there too. They seem to know zeds well and are keen to build on their reputation. Is there anything we as a club can do to perhaps promote them a bit. Garage:SPC Address: Unit 4, Deacons Trading Estate, Knightingale Road, Horsham, West Sussex RH12 2NW. Tel: 01403 257257. Ask for Phil.

Hi, I'm removing my front guards to install a set of Lambo hinges. When I removed the left side I found a plastic canister thingy mounted on the inside of the guard right behind the wheel, it has a hose coming out. Does anyone know what this is ? And can I move it down slightly without damaging anything ? Also is there anything similar on the drivers side as well ?(right hand side).
