I’ve seen in threads that a lot of you U.k guy’s run with higher Bhp engines. I’m curious whether you have changed your brake system and fitted big brake kits. James will rebuild my engine to approx. 475 Bhp and ConceptZ is selling a complete Akabono kit from a 370z witch is on sale. I’ve heard that the front Brembo’s of a 350z will also be a great upgrade. What are your suggestions if you look at the Bhp. Thanks Peter

Right. Today I've been out with the Z. She's looking tired and in need of some serious work. Mechanically I should be able to cover all bases. But body work wise. I need help. She's going to need a full respray but I can only see the top surface. I have a problem with rust as the previous owners didn't treat it right and during the 11 years of their ownership neglected it. The two picture below show my 'Temporary Repair' to stop water getting into the car. One shows the near side bottom corner of the rear windshield glass in the tailgate and the second near side top of the windscreen. I have dug out the poor previous attempt carried out by…

Bit of help please. I'm trying to find what I think is probably some sort of threaded grommet. As I've been putting my car back together I've found that where very rear edge of the front bumper attached to the wing (so the leading edge of the front wheel arch) I have nothing to wind a bolt into when you line up the bumper with the support bracket. The front bumper has been off for such a long time, I can't remember what should be there! I know I could use a nut and bolt, but considering it's probably a very cheap part, I'd like to keep an OE fastener. Does any one: A) have the foggiest idea of what I'm talking about B) have a picture of what I'm miss…

.....This time in an article about cars which, in the opinion of the writer, went for a steal at auction recently....!! It could be a sign that the Z32 is gaining a higher, more desirable profile at last. Modern classic cars like ours could be set to enjoy a renaissance period, as more people in their 30s, 40s and 50s seek to buy the high performance cars from their youth; that they could not afford then, but can now. The only way is up, as one singer once sang....

This month's Modern Classic's magazine has an article on the NEC Classic Car Show..... And what do you know, they visited our stand and took a picture of Joel's car!! Joel wasn't in the picture himself, though, just Craig and Ian.... Nice one Joel....

Hi All, Just a quick question before I take a look at the car - I was in the Z the other day and the passenger electric window wouldn't go down (by either switch). Just want to see if anyone has had this problem before, whether it is on a separate fuse or something or whether its most likely the motor. Just want to point out that the drivers one is still working. I've not had any chance to take a look yet as I was only moving the car to a neighbors drive whilst I have some work done to my house, so I'm not at home at the moment but will probably go back at some point this weekend to see if I can figure it out. Just thought I'd see if I could get any i…

Got a leak so need to get another ps pump. I see you get rebuild kits but that's the kind of job I hate. Does anyone in the club do this kind of thing? My plan is getting a second hand pump, get it rebuilt then it's just a case of getting it fitted. Thinking of doing a recon on the alternator as well as it also has to be removed the change the pump I believe. Thanks, Daz.

So, I have petrol that's been in the tank for years, topped up with some months ago...either way it's old. My car has a running problem, and to rule out the fuel I want to drain the tank. I see no drain plug, so whats the easiest way to do this? Cheers!

Sorry for another noob question but thought I'd check before I spend money on a clutch that potentially won't fit. So yeah my clutch has started to slip from time to time and I'm gunna change it before it gets too bad. First question is are the Clutches for the DET and DE the same? I have a N/A but I've looked theyre all coming up DET. Thought I'd ask before I buy it and have the box off etc to find out its the wrong one. Second question is there anything else you would recommend changing whilst she's getting the clutch done, ie Flywheel etc. I'm probably going to get an Exedy Clutch as I've had them in previous cars and never had a problem with them.…

Hello all, Wondering if anyone had first had first hand experience of the differences of a TT zed with a lightened flywheel? Z1 have the exedy hyper twin carbon clutch and flywheel on sale which is apparently 90% lighter than stock or somethgin ridiculous. i have read that it is one of the best upgrades to transform the feel of the car and it will be able to transfer power much quicker due to inertia. I imagine revving more freely etc. After deciding not to buy a used exedy hyper twin for £250 due to a unknown history and condition the Z1 option is looking pretty good to be honest! The 2017 plan is as follows: - Install 99 spec bumper, spoil…

Never knew this existed or is this just on a series 4 zed ? Found it hidden under the front right of the air filter nose panel. Its a stock part but don't remember seeing it on my other zeds.

So, Part of my rebuild I discover this : I can see that the left side can be unbolted but is the rest of it welded in ? I've not attempted to unbolt it just yet but by the looks of it i'm going to need a replacement and patch up the bits below too.

Can anyone advise me on some decent quality replacement rear wheel studs to suit 15mm spacers. I don't want to get some off the bay and shear them off first hard launch. The ones I've found only seem available in 10 or 20mm extension. Not sure if the 20s would be too long and prevent proper tightening?

Started building up my engine today from the bare block, using Nissan bearings, but the thrust bearing (crnk bearing #4) will not fit in place on either the cradle or block? The crank is stamped 1 and block 2, so i got a grade 3 bearing as per WSM, part number matches and colour stamped properly but is just far to tight a fit and would need significant force (i.e. being hammered) into place. Anyone had any experience of this?

I'm a bit lost were to start here. So I'll describe the faults and symptoms and what I've got. I've tried using the diagnostic on the pod which revealed not a lot and the instructions were incredibly poorly written and didn't actually seem to corrolate with what was infront of me. I've got the early didgital climate control, with the high & low settings on the side. The car is an 89/90 model JDM car. The air con compressor and rad are removed. Some of the fault predates this, the other has occurred a few years after those mods so it's not in my opinion the likely culprit. The two faults I have are as follows; When the fan is on it blows hot air, regardles…
