Can anyone recommend a a good garage to speak to have the Zx resprayed.

 

Would be good if they were in Essex area.

I used a company near Chelmsford called Kraftwork. They're relatively inexpensive for the quality of work produced and were (and still are) great to deal with. You're more than welcome to come and see my car to check out the finish you could expect, I'm near Braintree.

Obviously depends on your budget. I've had the bad luck of a lot of so called bodyshops over the years and they've all been utter crap with the exception of Custom Exotics in Harlow http://www.customexotics.co.uk/ They won't be the cheapest as they don't do back street spray jobs, but if you want quality and pride in their work, they are well worth a visit.

 

The only other place I've hear good things (but I've never used) is our very own trader on here Boldy/Bodymech http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?188-Bodymech who has always seemed like a top bloke on here ;)

I'll second a recommendation for Custom Exotics, I've have seen many of their paint jobs over the years and the finish/quality is truly exceptional. I was torn between these 2 places but, as Vijay mentioned, it really does depend on your budget as Custom Exotics are quite a bit more expensive compared to Kraftwork.

 

For the price I paid, I'm more than happy with the finished product from the lads at Kraftwork and too an extent, I'm glad I didn't spend more to be even closer to "perfection" as I'd be scared to drive it! I have a good balance now of a nice and tidy Z that I'm not (too!) afraid to drive but I do invest a fair amount of time keeping it tip top.
