I had some ferodo discs for my Z and they have only lasted about a 1000 miles. And now they are warped. Can anybody suggest a good disc to go for, and is there any real benefit to running a tt Z with grooved or drilled (or both) discs on the front? Thanks, Dan

got a problem with my lights. if i put just side lights on the passenger side hid fires up but not drivers, i assumed this was dim dip and just drivers side didnt go for some reason. however i just went to try an solve the problem so 1st checked the voltages, drivers read 0.14 whereas the passenger side read 12.4 now if it was dim dip surely the voltage wouldn't as high as normal low beam would it? does anybody have any idea what is going on and how to sort it? thanks

I know there is a word for this but I have forgotten it lol. Anyway, on full boost my Z makes a rattling noise from the turbos, it seems to of gotton worse since I have put an aftermarket air filter on my car... What exactly is causing this noise? Is there a remedy? And what will it break first? Thanks, Dan

Ok, the time has come to lower the Z, but only a bit. I found some lowering springs on ebay that claim to lower by 2" all round, I measured where that would take the wheel to in the arch and it is far too low! So, now im not sure exactly how low I want to go... But, are just lowering springs a wise move, or will the ruin the cars handling? If so, what other options are availible, and, it would be most helpful if you guys could post some pics of your lowered Z`s and give details on what set-up they are and how much they are lowered by... Thanks for your help, Dan

I just want to clean up the reservoir tank etc. Is it possible to separate the fluid pot from the main part (the bit I am holding)? As you may be able to see, there is a lot of dirt between the fluid pot and the main part and separating them would make it easier to clean. Thanks Ant

Hi Mike! Thought you might like to se the new home the engine I bought from you has finally found - Since Jimmer and Darrell got their hands on it and wove their magic! There's still some final 'fettling' - as Jimmer puts it - before she makes her journey to the bodyshop....... That is one sweet engine you and your dad built mate - Sounds absolutely fabulous - I'm pleased as punch that i was able to get my hands on it! :) In the first clip, the car is running without the exhaut (as you may guess!) The second, with the exhaust fitted....... And the last one is her first movements under her own power f…

Well actually its not a new zed but feels like one, just had the Stillen ARB front and rear with new droplinks, energy suspesion 3 piece tension rod bushes, rear track arms and hicas outer bushes fitted and 4 wheel alignment done. The rear wheel hop when goin over bumps, pot holes etc is gone, under braking the nose diving is gone, steering and cornering is much tighter and the sloppy overall feel is gone, I'm one happy zedder :hyper:

Badly repaired accident damage can spell trouble for subsequent owners of any car but below is a horror story in the making we were witness to. The o/s inner wing section was split completely away from the car structure, all along the chassis rail and along the inner arch, the only thing keeping it in place were the strut fixings and the outer wing bolts. The owner had the previously day been having fun at high speed and was aware of a “funny feeling” on the front end...............jeeez. After inspection it was evident that a previous repair had gone very wrong, a new chassis rail/ leg had been fitted but the iner wing had not been welded back in ( at any…

Buyers please be aware Funny how a new bumper fitted to a zed for sale can enhance it so much prospective buyers forget to look behind it. The photo's show a recently purchased zed ( from a garage ) all splendid with an after market front bumper, however when viewed from beneath on a ramp all was not good. The missing undertrays and damaged other trays was a good indicator that some thing was amiss but when you look at the front offside chassis rail / front member it has taken a substantial impact. The damage is so bad it has deformed the fixings of the tension rod bracket, the area around it is all mishaped and has caused a set forward on that wheel …

Hi Guys I was looking at some web sites looking for a 300ZX TT ... I found a company (mentioning no names)that had a low milage car in stock it looked very clean had a manual box leather trim and so on asking about £4000 for it when i called the guy said i'd be better off with a R32 Skyline GTR because the handling on the 300 is crap???? Has anyone had a chance to compare the to cars together as im starting to get a bit confused on which one to go for:headvswal

After owning a couple of 300zx TTs before I recently purchased my 3rd as a bit of an ongoing project. Its an import twin turbo manual, but after neglect from a couple of former keepers it has been off the road since 2003/2004!! As I bought the car: a few hours after: and then today, finally :smash: not a bad days work... engine now in, all mounts/supports in place, 90% of connectors on and just a few pipes left. Getting there, slowly but surely! Once the engine is running I will be concentrating on the exterior, colour change, new wheels, suspension and lots of other goodies :D It will rise from the dead, would hat…

More words of warning about loose nuts, not a new warning but here are a couple of photos of how loose nuts on tension rod arms to lower suspension arms look. The rusty marks around the nuts show the extent of movement on this particular zed, clonking when braking or even accelerating is the symptom of this, the holes through the lower arms had worn oval shaped and required replacement, catch them before this and its just a case of tightening them. Going to bleed my brakes next weekend so which is the best fluid to go for? My car is running a lot of power and has the R33 calipers fitted so I'm wanting something that isn't going to boil after a good thrashing. Opie Oils have a sale on so any you'd go for here? http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-450-brake-fluid.aspx Think I've got Castrol Response DOT4 or Super DOT4 at the moment but it hasn't really survived that well.
