I want to put the FAIRLADY Z decal on the perspex strip on my UK zed. I know my car is called a 300ZX in the UK but it is a Fairlady at hart :) and they were going on my old zed before I crashed it! Do you consider this ok, or am I being a chav? YES I know I cocked up the spelling on fairlady! lol

The jdm targa is slight different to the uk one as a lot of you know, but why? Surely, it would have saved nissan a lot of money at the time, if they'd made them all the same. It must have cost a fortune to retool the production lines, and I cant see the reasons why they did! rant over. lol

I want to mount 5 gauges in my zed, volt and air/fuel mix will be mounted in a twin pod A pillar and I want to put the other 3 (oil press, water temp and boost) in or on top of the audio console. I can't DIN mount them as both slots are filled with stereo and hd mp3. I've looked at z1 and zcentre and the options seem quite limited :( Does anybody have an idea of other mounting pods etc? Cheers Dave

Watch those speed humps, taken at speed thay can damage more than just bumpers and exhausts, the sump on this autobox had taken a fair wack and as a result the box was misbehaving, the strainer damage was causing line pressure problems, a new strainer the sump dent knocked out and all was ok. The issue of fractured lower arms was raised by Mac 1 some years ago and was as a direct result of fitting single piece rod bushes with too little compliance, a problem that was dealt with by redesigning the bushes. Check out the photos below, the tension rod arm fixings have become detached completely taken a section of the lower arm with it. The arm was discovered by an RAC recovery when called to the car on the motorway with a puncture on the n/s front, the owner not really understanding the full implication continued to drive the car for a few days until the steering feeling eventually got so bad it was uncomfortable With the wheel removal all was reve…

It's that time of year where I have to replace the ALT and PAS Belts cause there making a ticking slip noise again! Really annoys me as I know other Zed's not running the engine under tray and they don't seem to have this problem... Would I be better of getting a geniune Nissan belts this time or just stick to the Gates ones the usual motor factors normally supply me? Also does it make a huge difference if the belt is not quiet exactly 39" / 990mm? Slightly to short or long, could that cause the problem in wet weather???

Poor alarm installations are all to common occurrence that have to be dealt with, nuisance alarms, poor responding fobs, troublesome immobilises etc., however when you see some of the cable route use by some less qualified technicians its now wonder they play up. The photo below shows part of the alarm loom on a Toad alarm from the siren to the main unit, incredible although you cannot see it in the picture it was cable tied to the steering shaft!!! Jeff TT

I need bigger injectors and was planning on going down the following route DeatschWerks adapters to fit later style injectors as nismo one's for original rail are silly money, bigger injectors, and as the standard fuel rail struggles to get fuel to the last injectors I was thinking of splitting the rail running 2 feeds 2 fpr's, cant find any info if any one has run the standard rail as separate sides Thoughts ?

I just replaced front and rear shocks, and thought i would replace the silicone filled bushes in the tension rods. The 12mm Bolt holding the rubber strip to the bottom wishbone sheared off:headvswal on both sides :headvswal:headvswal. My question is the rubber strip is it to aid airflow to the brakes? and what effect would it have if i removed them. Otherwise it means drilling out the part thats left sheared in the wishbone:rolleyes: Dave
