I am interested to know at what power range does a motor leave what one would call a streetible car. Also what would the main aspect of driving experience be to qualify a car as streetible? Is it the clutching? I'd love to someday have an engine rebuild, tubs upgraded etc to produce a serious amount of BHP, but I wouldn't want to create a monster than couldn't be controlled. MAC1 I believe has created a serious beast, and I'd love to know how his car drives and how controllable it is. So MAC1, if you see this thread, I'm interested to know of your experience with high BHP cars. Thanks in advance

I´m just in the process of doing a carbon canister bypass , so front fender is off and I thought I´d take the opportunity to replace the fog lights with the carbon fibre air ducts I´ve had lying around for a few years:dance:. Two questions though: 1: For those that have done the air duct thing , which bonding agent do you recommend ? 2: Did you lead a tube/pipe from the ducts to the intercoolers, or just installed them as is ? Cheers :) Maz

I've put my car on ramps, while I get the old exhaust off and have a general clean underneath. Reading the instructions that came with the ramps, it states "only use one set of ramps at a time". All the ramps are rated at 2t and it feels a lot safer than using axle stands. Is this dangerous, or are Halfords being over cautious?

Hi guys, Just after abit of help really on the best place to by the above clamps cheaply...I want to get rid of all the crappy jubilee type clamps on the main hoses under my bonnet. I'd like the all stainless W4 versions but they are mega bucks...so i guess the half and half W2 versions would do just as good. I guess they dont have to be mikalor, they could be any make as long as they are good quality and stainless.... Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction? CheerZ in advance! Sean.

Could someone tell me the sizes of the standard brakes on the Z and how many Pot they are.. Front & rear. Also, what the difference is between the alluminium and Iron brakes, and why they changed them?.. Finally, I am gauging interest in an upgraded brake kit, so far the skyline idea takes me fancy, as it's genuine nissan and I don't think it will be as much as a hassle with ABS/Brake line fitment & standard fitment.. But I have seen people on here fitting Evo 7,8,9 e.t.c. I'm not wanting Super 8 pot braking power, just an upgrade from what I have, whilst keeping it either Nissan/brembo.. What prices would I be looking at & will an increase in th…

searched for hicas and seen that one of the few causes for a hicas light and heavy steering after a few minutes is when the steering sensor picks up that the steering wheel is not straight.... or an aftermarket one with the hicas connection. Well i have an aftermarket steering wheel (which i hate - looking for an original) and the steering is not straight. How hard is it to adjust the steering?

Hi all my Z makes a horrible noise at about 120-130mph when the window is down, its very loud, like the wind is getting stuck somewhere, i know it will be noisy with the window down at high speeds, but this was stupid, & it only started between them speeds, can you buy wind deflectors for the windows, could it be the seals around the T bar roof as they do look slighty worse for wear. thanks all.

car runs fine now.. however if i have been driving for a while it sounds like another fan has kicked in. The fan gets louder with higher revs. once cooled down (after being fof for a bit) it is fine again. IS this overheating or is it normal? Temp gauge reads med temp however i have been warned that these are naff (especially as my gauge might not go any higher) The other fan that is not attached spins at its own speed? (as in not with revs) anyway apart from conzult can i test if my thermostat is not doing its thing properly or if my temp is TOO high?

ok so was driving through town and whilst driving past essex county council i noticed a familier nice looking zed in the window. I like your wheels..... similar to mine and it is nice to see them from a distance. And i like the colour too.... Shame about the single exit exhaust but still sounds sweet. Might want to get that intercooler pipe set up correctly as it looks odd being the wrong way around!:mac1: Whoever you are..... Nice one!
