Some of you might be aware that an electrical problem has been causing me a few issues for the last 2-3 weeks. Many thanks to Geoff from Zedworld who pointed me in the right direction. Well today I narrowed it down to either the ECU or the switchable earth from the ECU to the coil relay. I found a cowboy job in the engine bay loom where someone had cut the wire and soldered in two other and they were both cut!!!! So 30 seconds of solder and a day finishing the coolant system and oil cooler she was ready for the big moment, the freshly built engine with the single turbo was ready for a test start :bow: Although the turbo has no down pipe of gasket on it I had to…

what types of material's are the front's of the z made of. As mine has been in for a respray on the front and seal's.The day after i got it back i noticed cracking along the front of the car.Returned the car to spray shop on monday they appologised about crack's and would sort it out.I phoned them yesterdsay (the owner was back)he informed me that if he was in monday when i took the car back he would not have re-done the work. They phoned me thisafternoon only to explain that when they put the car in the oven to bake the material that the nose is made of is shrinking under the paint.Have any of you heard of this or had this problem.:(

Hi guys, I need new disks so I'm wondering about 3G and DBA. Given the cost differences, what are the benefits going to be? the Zed is still essentially stock, and will stay that way, so I don't need the big brake kit or anything silly. Most of my driving is going to be hooning around B-roads in Northumberland, so the brakes will need to be a little bit good (otherwise I'd just go to Kwik Fist), but I'm not likely to be tracking any time soon. chris

What do people think of these? I know FunglyBumpkinSi will hate them cos they are cheapo fake spit rims and not the real thing, but what about everyone else? Hi does the drivers seat on a SWB go back as far as a LWB to give you the same leg room? I ask as I needed the seat on my LWB right back to drive in a comfortable position.

As topic says, are there any specialist in london or at least just outside of it that are as good as ZedWorld? i as much as i would rather take my car there, right now i cant commit to that kind of journey from where i live. My mech is very good at very good prices but the zed is something that is beyond his scope as his more used to mazda's, supra's, german cars, fords etc

I am interested to know at what power range does a motor leave what one would call a streetible car. Also what would the main aspect of driving experience be to qualify a car as streetible? Is it the clutching? I'd love to someday have an engine rebuild, tubs upgraded etc to produce a serious amount of BHP, but I wouldn't want to create a monster than couldn't be controlled. MAC1 I believe has created a serious beast, and I'd love to know how his car drives and how controllable it is. So MAC1, if you see this thread, I'm interested to know of your experience with high BHP cars. Thanks in advance

I´m just in the process of doing a carbon canister bypass , so front fender is off and I thought I´d take the opportunity to replace the fog lights with the carbon fibre air ducts I´ve had lying around for a few years:dance:. Two questions though: 1: For those that have done the air duct thing , which bonding agent do you recommend ? 2: Did you lead a tube/pipe from the ducts to the intercoolers, or just installed them as is ? Cheers :) Maz

I've put my car on ramps, while I get the old exhaust off and have a general clean underneath. Reading the instructions that came with the ramps, it states "only use one set of ramps at a time". All the ramps are rated at 2t and it feels a lot safer than using axle stands. Is this dangerous, or are Halfords being over cautious?
