if the worse happens with my zed and the crank is scored, what would my zed be worth with a broken engine, i dont think i would like to spend anymore money on it as ive just broke the bank recently with house renovations and car repairs im just trying to see if its worth regrinding the crank or maybe selling as repair or spares, the body work and underneath the car is in great condition, its just the bottom end of the engine letting it down ATM if anyone was thinking of doin a wide arch conversion my car is perfect to take the engine out and put their engine in let me know people, and dont be cheeky lol p.s, i know you's wont think it's worth as much a…

Woo Hoo!!! Finally on the road :hyper::hyper::hyper: Taxed and tested today, straight through MOT and have done about 2 hours driving running in. No leaks and nothing caught fire or fell off so a success as far as I'm concerned! First impressions: Front suspension geometry is miles off, makes for interesting cornering. Engine is bloody responsive, mapping very crude just now but even so, the throttle response is almost telepathic and it pulls VERY well as far as I have tried it. Car feels much more alive with all the solid mounts etc. There is no slack anywhere. The V8 sound is awesome - will get some vids ASAP

I was gonna get it off opieoils while the discount offer is on. I was thinking 3 litres of cheaper motul to completely flush the system, then 2 litres of castrol response super to bleed it up with. Is that going to be enough? ta, Jay

Hi People, thinking of keeping the Z now and putting it off road for the summer and doing some repairs. Going to remove the plenum and change the fuel lines underneath and injectors. But while doing the job was thinking of replacing the main engine wiring harness. But cant find any instrutions on how to replace the harness, can it be done on the ground or will i need a ramp? Regards Andy

hi everyone, just a quick question, i was wondering what the car key for the Z was supposed to look like, mine is a small key, the plastic is in the shape of a triangle with smooth corners & says TIMPSON on it, looks like a moped key to be honest, just wondered thats all, as it looks very boring and cheap. Dom.

the carbon canister is out, didn´t have the small hose on the fender that needed blocking off according to the write up, but it also mentioned that some peopple had written in to say they didn´t have it either, so that´s cool. rerouted the feul tank breather pipe and then went to the engine bay. took the two right hand side intercooler pipes off, capped the small pipe on the throttle body and also the one that goes to the balance bar, as "instructed" The problem is the write up says after removing the IC pipes "Now look down toward the front of the car, just outside of where the large IC hose ran from the turbo down to the IC. Find the metal vacuum galley as …

Some of you might be aware that an electrical problem has been causing me a few issues for the last 2-3 weeks. Many thanks to Geoff from Zedworld who pointed me in the right direction. Well today I narrowed it down to either the ECU or the switchable earth from the ECU to the coil relay. I found a cowboy job in the engine bay loom where someone had cut the wire and soldered in two other and they were both cut!!!! So 30 seconds of solder and a day finishing the coolant system and oil cooler she was ready for the big moment, the freshly built engine with the single turbo was ready for a test start :bow: Although the turbo has no down pipe of gasket on it I had to…

what types of material's are the front's of the z made of. As mine has been in for a respray on the front and seal's.The day after i got it back i noticed cracking along the front of the car.Returned the car to spray shop on monday they appologised about crack's and would sort it out.I phoned them yesterdsay (the owner was back)he informed me that if he was in monday when i took the car back he would not have re-done the work. They phoned me thisafternoon only to explain that when they put the car in the oven to bake the material that the nose is made of is shrinking under the paint.Have any of you heard of this or had this problem.:(
