Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
Been busy at work so have done very little, spent TWO afternoons trying to remove ONE wheelnut :scared::thumbdown: The previous owner had ragged the sh*t out of the car with only 2 wheel nuts on each wheel and the tyre tread facing the wrong way:scared: Wheel nut was rounded out, so a hammer and chisel along with a drill and cobalt bits were required to remove it:thumbdown: Fortunately for me, the guy that bought them came down with 3 of his friends and we all took turns to get it off:innocent: Did a deal on the turbine wheels and a set of BF-Goodrich off-road jeep tyres and in return got these babies  :innocent::whistling:3 Piece SSR Gartmaeir's in a 9.5 and 10.5 et+32 fitment:innocent::whistling: I know, I know..... I'm a jammy git!! :tt2: Need a new wheel stud or two if anyone has any lying around??

Too sell or not sell???
A lot of us are in the same boat to be honest, my car was parked up for 6 years until I had some spare cash, 2009-2015. Started back into it in March '15. I bought bits and pieces over a further 2 years and have finally managed to get the body sorted and painted. I've still to do all the mechanical side of things but have scraped up most of the cash needed for Jimmer to work his magic:thumbup: These cars are a hobby at the end of the day, I know I find it a way to de-stress on my few days off from work and family time. Let Del take his time, get the pieces together and then put the whole jigsaw back together:yes: I reckon that my car won't be ready until this winter, so realistically that's next summer before I can actually drive it. It's trying to do it all at once that's demoralising to some owners, between sourcing the correct parts, paying for them and then paying to have it all reassembled can be an expensive and frustrating task. My neighbour reckons I could have a Porsche 911 with the amount of money I've spent on my Z, but the fact is the Z gets money spent on it when I have it available, I couldn't buy a Porsche 911 as it's a lump sum payment. Hopefully Del will get back on the Z wagon, but it does help to have the support and understanding of your family :thumbup1:

Wanted Mongoose exhaust
Basically what Alic has said, he'll sell off the good stuff from it and then let it go as a standard NA Z, beautiful car, seen it in the flesh. I think he's just too busy to be on here at the moment, he's not leaving the Z scene though :wink:

Garages
:eek: Feel for you pal, happened me with a garage over here in Ireland, the money I spent to have my engine fitted would've covered shipping it to Jimmer and him fixing it. Learnt the hard way and that's what I've done:yes:

SWB propshaft help
Hi Alic, I don't have a propshaft at all, it was stripped off the car with the gearbox, diff etc was hoping that an auto front half with a manual rear half might do the trick? If I got the two correct pieces, I could always send them off to get made into a one piece:thumbup1:

SWB propshaft help
Hey guys, what combination or what parts can I use to make up a SWB manual propshaft?? Are there any other Nissans (Terrano etc) that might share propshafts with the Zed??

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
3M Fast Cut Plus with a coating of Zymol Cleaner Polish and a final coat of Harley Wax:thumbup1:. Unfortunately some donkey has painted the bumper and passenger wing in a purple/maroon to try and blend it in with the faded paint:scared::thumbdown:

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
So today I went at the leaking boot lid, reckoned its from the wiper grommet so have removed it and taped up the hole (for the time being) Started to try and freshen up the paintwork. The bonnet is banjaxed, both corners bent up and paint totally fubar'd. Managed to find one in better nick

N\A to TT Swap anyone see this Ebay Auction
I wouldn't be touching this with a barge pole! All his feedback is from buying off other people, he's one from today where they bought an Audi engine off him, the rest are his purchases. Anyone on here ever hear of Fever Racing tuned ECU's?? Fitted with all new OEM parts?? Prefers bank transfers as payment ? Sounds well dodgy:thumbdown:

Pedal modulation and abs engagement with Brembo brakes
When you match up the Brembo rears you get a very similar brake bias (69:31) to that of the R34 GTR (70:30)there's a write up on Alpha Omega in Australia.

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
I'll get the centre on it during the week Stephen:thumbup:. I'm sending one of the centre's off to be duplicated but reversed, so it sits flush with the spokes:thumbup1:

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
Thanks Joel, it's a long way off lovely at the moment, old Blue has to be finished first, my daughter Caitlyn told me that Jo said, that if she had to keep looking at that on the drive, she'd put a match to it!!:scared::lol:

Pedal modulation and abs engagement with Brembo brakes
I think I posted up a load of calculations on here relating to the BMC (brake master cylinder) and 6 piston Brembo's. Most people I know that run them reckon the braking effort is reduced resulting in more effective braking distances. I know of guys running the 8 piston AMG, 6 piston SRT8's plus Porsche 17-18Z Brembo's and all report better stopping power without locking up their ABS:thumbup1: I'll see if I can find the research and post it up.

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
Test fitted my other Brembo 6 piston setup to see if the Veilside wheels clear, they do, just. I'm going to have to run hubcentric spacers as my offset is +36 which brings the spokes into contact with the caliper, if I add a 25mm spacer, am I correct in saying my offset is now +11? Decidedly to leave the Veilside wheel on it for the moment.
