  7. I said JimmyTT, I think Gary made the mistake, I was wondering why you were showing as joining in July '13 :confused1: truth be told, I was afraid to ask:sweatdrop:, Can't believe you got banned Si:innocent: Good to know JimmyTT and Jaffaz32 are still about, Jimmy was invaluable for mad wheel offsets and fitments. Si, you're an institution on this forum, you've been on it for yonks and I enjoy your observations and comments!!
  8. Nice Mogsey, I want to start mine ASAP, are they Car Mads skirts??
  9. Fair play mate, this looks like it could be an epic build thread like Jaikai's, Gibsters and so many others, I'll be following this with interest.

  16. I've just spent a few hours going through the Members List:sad:, So many memories, and what I thought were Lifelong members gone . Kirbz, Jaffaz32, John Dixon, Bantumbunny, JimmyTT:no: to name a few, these guys were on here the whole time, I suppose a lot can happen in 5 years, i'm actually quite emotional looking back over the list:sad: Don't know what else to say on the subject:blushing:
  17. They're opportunistic scum mate. CCTV won't bother them, they'll just hide their faces. The trick is to have as many deterrents as possible, so that they move to a less awkward house/area. These creatures will try anything for an easy buck! A word of caution for everyone.... I was dealing with a convicted Burglar a while back and he told me that the difference between a £500 alarm and a £!500 alarm was feck all, the best thing to do is make sure you have motion sensors in as many areas as possible, He told me that he would lift the roof tiles and go into houses through the attic as few people bothered fitting motion sensors up there. Make sure your alarm fitter puts at least 2 motion sensors in your attic. LED lighting is another cost effective deterrent, every night I have the front and rear lit up with very little energy costs. I also have 2 Spaniels that only really bark when someone is on my driveway. All these things draw unwanted attention to these scumbags and they don't like it so they pick easier targets. I live in a nice area and because of this there has been a few robberies, I think 3-4 high value cars have been stolen ('11 Audi A4 S-Line, '12 Passat cc etc.) in the last year. It's all about making it too much hassle and risk for them. I've made it quite clear to anyone that knows me that the first one I catch on my property will be taking a trip to A&E before being locked away!!
  18. Sorry to hear this mate, it's part and parcel of owning these cars, on a positive note, you're on the best car forum for these cars, plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people here.:thumbup1: I only wish I lived in the UK near them all. The Irish scene is non-existant:no:

  22. VRT is basically the Government F***ing you over to change your no. plates to Irish ones, I bought a UK 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander Elegance in November last year, the Irish Revenue charged me €4700 to change my UK plates to Irish ones!! That's on top of the car's purchase price. It's a way to deter people from buying cars abroad. On a plus note I still saved close to €4500 over buying an Irish low spec model.
  23. That's a fabulous find Jay, it's good to see a nice Zed coming to Southern Ireland!! I'm only down the road from you in Carlow, we might get to meet up when my car gets done.:thumbup:
  24. Got home from work this evening to find a nice big box  A genuine 99 spec bumper, 99 spec indicators and a full scuttle panel!! I have to thank Luke from Z Centre again, as I had paid the money nearly 10 years ago and Luke honoured our deal. I thought that I had lost the money as it was so long ago and had just written it off as bad luck as I have done with other people. I didn't even have to ring Luke, I just placed the order online and mentioned in the comment box that I might have some credit! That's all I did and now I have my new parts!! I'm actually gobsmacked!! Cheers Luke, you are a true Gentleman. Richie
  25. That is going to be an Epic Zed buddy! I love that grey one you posted up! Are you going with the grey?
