Tyres? well the cheaper the less grip generally, or at least if they grip well, they dont last as long and are not as high speed rated (+ noisy!)

The rear spoiler on a Z makes marginal diff TBH, I had a smoothed tailgate with lip, no spoiler. The car felt light over 150's but I guess any would. Round town and up to a ton (which is plenty ;)) it didn't make any diff at all. Cheers

280ps is the rated hp in the jap market, they are not allowed to produce over 280 and since all these originate in Jpan, they were all manufactured with the same parts & rated the same as the original production models in japan. Auto / manual make absolutely no diff as the power quoted is @ fly. There were rumours that they under-rated the power by a small margin to comply with the regulations in the east, but these are mostly rumours at best. Most stock Z's I have seen on the rollers have been lucky to produce the full 280 anyway because of age or wear. So either way anything you get will probably be around 270+ mark unless it has been modified. Auto's do have smaller tubbs, but TBH you's be pushed to notice diff, both manual and auto housings / compressors can flow up to 15.8 Psi b4 maxing out. A 300hp Z out of the factory is *****x I am affraid. Cheers

Hi Guys, Any ideas best place to get a T3? pref sierra cossie one with the down pipe. Not been anything much on ebay past couple of weeks, and best price i've got for a STOCK t3 on an exhange basis (which would mean i'd still have to go and buy a crap one as well and give it to em :S) would be 500.00. Has to be a T3 really, actually does the T28 have same fitting for the manifold? I know a t25 has the triangular mounting and wont fit the manifold I have so it has to be same fitting as T3 and not much bigger as it's a tight squeeze on the manifold as it is. T28 would be fine if it would fit, as the application its being used for will only be low boost. Didn't see the last thread but I don't blame it on the schools, I blame it on the parents. If parents showed kids the attention they need when they are young, and bought them up in a sound and correct manner where they have values and morals, you wouldn't have to have school trying to police and control the little thug like ****ers that all these crap parents bring up. He must have been in the wrong gear lol! Those E46's are pretty nice, I have seen a friends SMG kill a 350Z with ease, so I would imagine off the mark or at speed it should do a stock Z and keep up with a decent modded one TBH, although I hate the gears on them. I have only had one race with a Z since owning my M3, it is a friends who lives in Swindon, he is running 1 bar of boost and runs high 13's on the 1/4. I kept up with him to a ton then he did start leaving me steadily (sure I already did a post about this). I'm pushing a little over 300 and he is pushing more like 340. Not bad for a NA tho ;) I've heard lots of people say they have killed M3's, my brother being one in his clio 172 :S. I raced him and totally killed him. Im sure more than 50% are M3 badged up 325 or 330's. There is a so call green m3 Evo going around town, it just happened I saw him on the dual carriageway about three weeks ago. I wasn't going to race him, but as it happend we both gunned it off the roundabout, I could here him reving the nuts off it as I passed him, by the time I got to a ton, he was 10-12 car lengths back easily, M3 I think not, or it was ****ed lol. I will say tho that once my M engine dies, it will be time to try and get a Z engine in it, miss them turbos lol. The Z is also defo faster than an M, especialy when running about 16psi, but I know I could easily outpull a stock Z and keep up with a good one from my previous encounter. I'll have to pop to a meet sometime ;) Davido, don't do it, S2000's are horrible :S, my brother works for Honda, driven quite a few and never been impressed, too much gear changing, not enough pulling, and they are about as sturdy as a milk carton. We wrote one of when delivering it from the honda compound to the showroom the other side of swindon at only 50mph! :O Steve

I think you need to realise that Rob was in an auto, which sometimes doesnt kick down all that well when you need it, and if it didnt kick down well, pulling from 30 would be slow until the boost came in allowing the bimmer a good few seconds head start at max torque. Even if he had the right gear and the bimmer footed it a couple of seconds before rob, that would have took away the difference in 30-70 that was mentioned and also he would have the big advantage of being in the next gear and pulling again before rob. I had a similar thing with a 3.0 alfa the other day, we pulled off at the lights, and i went steady didn't think he would race (two lanes into one), he gunned it beside me and i didnt realise until he had pulled past me and his back bumper was at the front of mine, i floored it and was playing catch up by 3 or more seconds, he was already well into the power and I wasnt in the power range and was ALSO trying to catch up. I thought I would have ate him up, but as i got half way through the gear toward 50 and gained back on him ready to pull past he pulled in infront of me and I had to break, he still got ahead of me. Off the line is fine, in the right gears and going for it at the same time is fine, but if you have the wrong rpm at the wrong time, and another car you sould kill is in the right gear, with the right power at the right time, it will be a lot more difficult than you think ;) a few seconds advantage and a good driver is all it takes to win over a much bigger car in a small amount of road.

Decided I would do my windows, the tints on the ST200 were very practical. It kept my daughter from being blinded by the sun in the back and without the need to have some nasty sun shades suckered to the windows! I also liked the fact it was loads more private. I was tempted to have a go myself, but I have seen a lot of people who have tried this nd ****ed it up good and propper. Not saying I will but I know it's a hard job. So, is there anyone on here who could give me some advice on it? or anyone who could do it for me for a good price ;) Cheers Steve

Seat Ibiza the old porsche system engine (so say lmgdfao) was nearly new when I bought it! My taste in modding was not so good, three spokes (NOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo) , the zorst looked on tho not too ott, and window tints, was met blue and looked ok-ish at the time. Didn't go too bad for a 1.5.
