  3. 850 a year???? fookin hell i thought we had it bad?
  4. K so this happened last night before I went out, but im more pissed off now. Usually go out for a cycle of an evening. My bike is a road bike and so, I ride it on the road, couldnt ride it on the paths anyway it would die! Made it 5 miles across swindon, it was a little wet and puddles eveywhere. I was cycling around 25mph (as the speedo indicated). I usually cycle around 2 foot out from the kerb / ditch when out of town etc because of pot holes etc that usually form close to the kerb and could kill my bike! Anyway, going up hill cars behined me so I pedal faster, as I push down and give it some welley 'BANG', back wheel slips sideways into a pot hole about 2 feet out from the kerb, back wheel caught the edge and went into it, nearly came a cropper but managed to stay on and stop. Back wheel was ****ed! two spokes split out, tyre split, inner tube burst, the edge of my back rim bent and split, and to top it off the shock sent my back light flying off and shattered in the road :( So here I am a good few miles from home and left on the side of the road. I collected the remains and began my walk home with the bike. Thing is in a car you dont notice it as much, but beleive me the amount of pot holes and cracks in the roads are ****ing silly. There is one the end of my road that has grown to about a good half of a meter in diameter and has to be about three inches deep or more, but as its a dead end it never gets sorted. So it pisses me off, what do we pay our road tax for FFS, I pay it on both my cars and the missus, and for what? all the roads around here are shit, all they spend it on in swindon is ripping up the road to put more stupid fooking roundabout where they are not needed, then a few months later rip up the roundabout and change it to lights, to then later put a ****ing roundabout in tossers :xxx: :xxx: Anyway pissed off more than ever as i cant get the wheel fixed, my local bike guy who is a top bloke said the wheel is ****ed. Cant re do the spokes, cant file down the ding and straighten the wheel out as its totally killed the rim in about five places because of the impact :( good rims too; Oh well here goes another 200 cause of the council (lucky i didnt have the Campagnolo's I was going to buy a few months back!!!), going to lodge a complaint on monday tho recon they will do anything? was going to say I come off because of it too?
  5. I see, speaking from experience are we lol ;)
  6. Cant find it :( never mind, there were three cars for sale on findit in their kit car section ages ago. All were aweful ferrari imitations and the bodykits were made of wood!!! Anyway so you arn't disapointed check out this guy, ****ing amazing tallent; http://flatrock.org.nz/topics/society_culture/livio_de_marchi.htm
  7. 1983 Datsun Sentra with a custom body kit and spoiler made of wood. Taj Jacobs did it all with plywood, glue, brads, and screws. He says "It started out with the spoiler and then I just had to make the rest. This car gets more attention than any Ferrari...I was kinda making fun of all the Civics and stuff with the huge obnoxious body kits, but the fact is even those guys love the car!" lol found that but thats not what i was looking for still looking........
  8. omg that weird ferrari imitation monstrosity reminds me of a weird fad that was about a while ago i'll see if i can find it!
  9. They took it back in the end, the manager did a straight swap. They asked why I tried to force it open, and i pointed them to the authors website that states the case is made in a way that it will break in quaters etc. They asked why I didn't phone them earlier instead of trying to open it, so I told them I didn't have my crystal ball on me today it was being polished round my nans. I also pointed out the fact that I wasn't into the line of selling DVDS and so didnt have a ****ing clue what it was lol. Anyways, got a brand spanker and so I should for 17 barsteward 99!
  10. He wouldn't be allowed on that one mate lol ;) only joking :D
  11. Hehe, only mods im making are mechanical, not doing any asthetic, otherwise it would not look like an M any more ;) 3.0 good choice mate, the Evo lump has a dual vanos, which controls intake and outtake valves. These arnt anywhere near as reliable as the 3.0 which has a single vanos on the exhaust side. Never heard of the 3.0 vanos going, but heard of tons of 3.2 ones failing, and it's a 2k job alone to put them right! Although they are spec'd at having over 30hp more, in reality they are not much quicker, differently tuned engines, 3.0 loves to rev, the 3.2 does too, but is made for better low down torque, like driving around town etc. When thrashing them both there is not much diff. Like I said a cat pipe and chip will take you to evo power anyway but with the benefits of the 3.0 lump :) There is a green Evo Cab in my town that I have raced and pulled probably 8 car lengths on upto 120 (bearing in mind I have a couple of mods and mine is loads lighter). Convetible is lovely, but no where near as tight on the handling like you said, and very heavy in comparison to normal M's. The five speed is similar ratios to the 6, it's just the six has a final drive of like .8 rotations per wheel rotation I think, so it's more for fuel economy. The Five speed you wil find does rev high, 3k revs is around 70mph! That said, at a steady 70mph you will return 30-35mpg. Round town changing at 2k or under (thats all that is needed!) and the ocasional thrash or higher reving will return around 22-26mpg, pretty fooking amazing really. I put 25 in last friday and done 188 miles on it, thats with half journey round town and half on a stretch. The backend compared to the Z is lovely mate, the slip diff is spot on, you can let the back end go and its really progressive and feels natural than the harsh kick of the Z. Anyways let me know how u get on and good choice of car :duffer:[/
  12. p.s the yank cars are very diff from the euro spec ones, it's nice to go on their and gloat sometimes tho lol!
  13. Nope did have but it was a yank one, they are an ok bunch but got pissed off with them lol. They are hard to find mate only for the 'select' few lol ;) http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=63 http://www.bmwcarclubforum.co.uk/forum_topics.asp?FID=18 http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/ I don't really go on any, I sometimes post on the second one but that's it. Not as social as this board mate.
  14. Hehe of course mate ;) lol Looks nice from the pic, have to post up some more when you get here home and clean :) techno violet by any chance? and it looks like an EVO? is it? First thing you want to do is get rid of that cat section! give you an extra 12hp, more torque, revs better and weighs about 20kgs less lol. If you want to know where to get a good one from I can send you the link :D Also combine that with a good copy chip and your looking at around 30hp more :D, don't go for the AC Schnitzer ones etc on ebay tho, I heard they actually make the car go worse :S I actually had a race with a guy I know who has a Z the other day, hes running a bar of boost (14.5psi for those who don't know you should!), kept up with him nicely upto a ton, but after then he started to pull away :( I noticed the M doesnt feel as fast as the Z as you dont have the kick of the turbos, but when you actually race a few cars you will be very suprised! Try getting someone else to give it a good thrashing when your in the passenger seat it does seem a lot more quicker and scarry lol. Bear in mind tho the M is over 100kgs lighter, has more power than a stock Z as standard, does a quicked 0-100 and 0-60 time! A Z with 16psi would defo toast us after 80mph tho. That said, good motor :). I went for the 3.0 coupe and one without aircon etc cause I wanted it to be as light as poss. The 3.2's have a little more low end torque, but the 3.0 is a bit stronger and takes better to breathing mods (because of only the out-take vamos control and not intake and outake like the 3.2's) If you already knew all of that, sorry to bore u! if you need any advice mate let me know, I seem to have learnt a fair bit about them in the past few months! All the best and happy M-Powering!!! :D
  15. Just went in there and bought my daughter the incredibles DVD. Got all the way home and went to open it, and couldnt! There was a little red button on the side of the case with a black 'B' on it. So I tried to lever it out, press it in, slide it, everything I could possibly think of and it wouldnt move! So I pulled the case apart and one quater cracked. So I took out the DVD sleave / cover as to not wreck it, prised the case open and took the book etc out. Tried to pull it open a little better to see how the device works, and the case cracks more, all the time risking fooking up the DVD. In the end I checked it out. Its a new security thing know as a 'RedTag' security band. Designed to stop people who steal from opening the case and if they do it cracks, tears the cover and shatters the disks! Cheeky little ****ers! Supposed to save hastle of storting dvds out of the case then taking ages when shopping to put em back in etc. Good if their staff are actually aware of the ****ing things! They should have taken it off when they sold it to us with a special 'tool'. The disk was ok, I didnt damage it, its just the case is designed to split aparantly when you try and open it etc. So they moaned they wouldnt take it back! Off to see them in a mo, they ****ing better do or there is going to be war! So if you buy a dvd with this little red ****er on, make sure the muppets in the shop take it off!!!

I'd be up for that, but currently dont own a Z lol. Would be good to see the rest of the SW boys I havnt seen in ages tho :)
  17. Yup usual for me is a kebab or pizza, had a kebab the other night and a pizza last night :) The best munch ever is KFC, but I rarely get to catch them open as its always too late when comming home :( I have been known to eat all sorts tho when pissed, just geta anything out and cook it / eat it!
  18. Np's just read it back I didn't mean be careful as you are buying at the bottom of the price bracket like it sounded :wack: came out a bit wrong, I just meant make sure you spend a few k over 24 if you do get one :duffer: Wish I had 30k lying around lol! Try giving a specialist like Munich Legends a call down near East Grinstead. Last time I took my car there thay had some seriously lush motors! including an Alpina B10 an M6 :D and a lush E46 M3 convertible (not to mention loads of race prepped E30 EVO's) :D. They only ever sell top top used bimmers that are like new from the factory, even the older ones, and really do know their stuff! I think if you go to a main stealer you may pay a little over the odds. I would certainly say to buy one that still has the BMW warranty, and if it doesn't get the stealer / specialist to put a propper BMW warranty on it B4 even thinking about buying. A looked after E46 should really still be covered under BMW warranty, most people who keep the E46 up to date, pay to keep the car pristine and pay everytime to extend the BMW warranty and keep it in the loop. All the best in the buy mate  p.s do take an M5 for a test drive either way mate you will love it ;)
  19. Not like the 20k starting bid last time then lmfao
  20. E46 M3 good car, just make sure the one you buy, if an SMG, has been recalled for the software issues. Also SMG is pricey if it goes wrong, you can't buy the clutch slave cylinder on its own if it goes, you need to buy a complete gearbox. Having said that they are very responsive and a very good drive. I beleive some E46's also needed a bottom end adjustment and recalled a lot. The manual is fairly notchy in gear changes, obviously you wont get that prob in the SMG! The power on both the E36 and E46 comes in at around 4k, so dont expect mega torque like the Z below that. However, once in the revs it will pull all the way into 8k with no drop off in power at all, it will just pull more and more the more you give it! The more superior car is the E39 M5, much better looking IMHO, more rare, more power, and cheaper! I would defo test one of these along with the M3. Price wise 24k is rock-bottom for an E46 M3, and for that you will be buying at the very very bottom of the price bracket, so be careful. With the E46 bear in mind that the market is at its best ATM, but within the next 12 months it is expected to drop to around 17k for the lowest example, compare that to 24k for the lowest now and you will loose around 7k in 12 months :S The E46 M3 is the latest incarnation of power, comfort, good emmissions and all the rest of modern day requirements. As far as M owners and clubs go, they are good cars, but for the cash, everyone prefers a good M5, better performance, drive and everything really. For true enthusiast driving tho, you are far better off having a DD and having an older M for track / weekend use. Cheers Steve
  21. Hi matey, Was really looking for manual, but beggers cant be choosers!! Did you notice if the leccy was much heavier than the passenger? Also how much did you want for em what nick and where r u ;) Cheers
