  1. Has anyone fitted a double Din into their Z. I know there is space for 2 Single Dins. I think that cutting the plastic inbetween the 2 dins would leave a gap too big. Would the standard metal bracket that fastens the single din work with a double din?? Or has anyone not tried this before? TIA Dave G

  4. K Cheers Mark. Dave G
  5. Not a very good way to promote your company m8, but thanks for the hint  Some people in the business dont really know much about the cars anyway (sounds strange but a lot of you will agree), just know how to make money and prefer the ease and guarantee of doing it through reputable companies. Also good for selling their cars on too. I remember agruing with a company who sells a lot of MR2s in Dundee area about some of the specs of the models and I knew he was wrong even after selling probably >40 MR2s. And I only ever owned 1! dave G
  6. Yeah just noticed that anything newer than Jan 1st 1997 requires an ESVA and the rest are OK and dont think any car I would buy would be classes for an SVA test either. Woohoo. Looks like Im away to buy a 4th car then. Dave G
  7. What about SVA test too, isnt that the one that costs loads nowadays, Dave G
  8. Just a general question. Whats the difference between spark plugs ie, platinum, iridium and standard? Or will I answer it myself as the materials are different? Which ones are more suited towards my car which will have uprated boost, ECU etc in a month or so. TIA Dave G
  9. Smithy do you know how to tell the difference between a fake and genuine Apexi Induction Kit. TIA, Dave G

If it was Jet Li when he started off in films ie his sub title films (which are much better in martial arts aspects than the newer more pblic pleasing films) then it may be close, but Bruce was undoubtedly more powerful and quicker. Would still be a good fight though. Dave G
  12. I managed to get the alloys on. Just ordered M12 x 1.25 tuners compared to the 1.50 I already had from the MR2. Apart from that, they sat tight to the disks when pushed to it. Ill test once again when the nuts come. Just hope It doesnt drop when driving if I am wrong, cant think why something would happen though. Dave G

I would be up for most of the above. I am back down in Dundee every second weekend, but if I am off and it is planned far enough ahead, I will go. Dave G
  14. Zzzzzzz
  15. Who came first ;) Dave G
  16. Yeah I have quite expensive Thomson ones that I use for gaming, so I dont annoy the GF and I was surprised too. Would advise buying them to anyone. Dave G
  17. Yeah that was a guy from the MR2 forum. Seen the car in person a few times being an ex MR2 owner myself and it basically isnt a car. 1 Huge turbo, as you seen from the lag at low revs, car is basically stripped. He still uses the 3s-GTE engine, not bad for a 2000cc and about 700 bhp. Dave G
  18. I would like to see this challenge pity Pod is a few hundred miles from me. Someone will have to video it. Dave G
  19. Ill give it a shot anyway to see. Nothing else to do anyway, off till the 9th. Ill let you know how I get on though. Dave G
  20. Cheers guys, looks like im heading more towards the E-01 as I could get the mtching turbo timer. Does noone use a manual boost controller? Dave G
  21. OK guys im stuck on so many choices of boost controllers. I will be getting my ECU upgraded in the next few weeks followed by fitting of a Apexi induction kit and boost controller. There are so many electronic boost controllers out there but always seem to be very expensive for the same job as a manual one. The only reason I like the electronic ones is that you have an incar adjustment and another colourful electronic widget to play with. Which ones do you guys find good and where did you buy them. Also Manual or Electronic?? :( TIA Dave G
  22. Sorry to hear that you are leaving but thanks for the car, its a good one. Yeah what happened to your black one. Dave G
  23. The Mk3 MR2 is a girly car but the Mk2s are very good cars IMO. Dave G
  24. 1990 Auto twin turbo. 21 years old. Insurance in my name and GF named driver (23), 1 years NCB, low crime area. £1700 fully comp which was lucky. Rest of the insurance companies wanted abot £1800+ TPFT and £2500+ FC. Insurance companies did say that once I get a years no claims on a car like this instead of "slow" cars my premium would half at least. Goodluck. Dave G
  25. Cheers Steve, Had a few PMs that I will follow up. Dave G
