I paid 3k. Didnt mind doing some of the cosmetic work it needed, but now the engines fooked. So make sure you get a decent one.

To check sensors, go into self diagnostics on the climate conteol panel by: 1. With the ignition switch turned ON, Press AUTO and OFF simultaneously for 5 seconds (step 2 in 1.). This will activate the Monitor Diagnosis Mode (step 3 in 1.) 2. Pressing AUTO again will switch to the Actuator Test Mode (step 4 in 1.). 3. Pressing AUTO again will switch to the Upper and Lower Temperature Difference Adjustment Mode (step 5 in 1.). 4. Pressing AUTO again will switch to a readout of Trouble Codes (step 6 in 1.). 5. Pressing AUTO again loops back to Monitor Diagnosis Mode (step 3 in 1.). Cant remember if its no,4 or no,5 will display 50/50 then you can scrol through these with either the fan 'high and low' on the side, or 'rec/econ' button. cant remember now, lol. If theres any error yuou will get a line on the bottom horizontal or vertical, open or short circuit. If theres no error its a number. LOOK HERE Theres more info HERE (goto 'tech' on the left side, then auto aclimate control is near the bottom.) but its for a '95 model and found it didnt help for my '90 model.

When you press that windscreen button I dont think it uses aircon??? Life the bonnet and press your 'auto' button and see if the clutch on the compressor actually goes on. The front of ot should spin.

I was running 15psi boost and my water never went above 89c. Not sure on oil though, no gauge for that.

got mine from tweeks. Checked ebay but none on there, worth a shot though.

Well looks like the engine and turbos are fooked. No after market wheels Exhuast is nothing amazing. Leahter seats are really good though, lol. Looks like fook all then. May even buy another and use mine as a donor car. I dunno. Getting an engine put into my car is gonna be loads of hassle, trying to find someone to do it etc... Toying with buying another zed.

realisticly from breaking a Zed??? How much bits do people really want???

According to the garage that done work on my car the bores and compression were fine. So its fooked over the last 1000miles??!?!? is that normal?!?!? But I have taken it for a drive, brother behind me, and smoke everywhere. Both exhausts but mainly the left. (as looking behind) spect the turbos are fooked too. Looks like engine rebuild time for me then!!!!!! DOH!!!!!!!! Fook knows what im gonna do, broke as fook........ Looks like I got a heap of sh1t like Bird did.

Fook, is it bad to keep driving????

Looking at engine; left front 152 left middle 150 left back 151 right front 140 right middle 140 right back 90 wet 150 (guessing that means its the ring???) Whats the chances of a piston going from 140-150 to 90 in 1000miles as I had it done by a garage and I was told they were all fine!??!?!?!?!

Broken pieces from under the front bumper?

Doh, will it effect the results?? If anything it would make then a little higher which is better? Thinking its the turbo now......

Went out for a drive and no.1 cylinder burnt off all the oil and was dry. Did a dry compression test on the front 4 cylinders, couldnt be arsed to do that back ones. Not sure if I managed to get the tester tight enough as the metal shaft wasnt long enough, so had to do it up by twisting the rubber hose. Anyway, all the front 4 showed 135psi, which is a bit low isnt it? But atleast they are all consistant so maybe the rings are ok. Didnt do it wet, guess you need some thick oil? BTW, didnt have throttle opened when doing it??!?!?!
