  1. Hmmmm..... Is the lesser share than the taxman would get worth enough to have to put up with the little shit gloating and rubbing my nose in it at every oportunity if i had let him win?
  2. What's a pay rise? :(
  3. Mine seems to be running perfectly at long last now. I'm running a catback veilside SS exhaust, Apexi induction, Twin custom dump valves at the throttles, and a "minor tweak" chip (as told by the guys at zedworld). still stock boost. Don't think i'm running 326 just yet. Oh and it's about time I changed career anyhow :duffer:
  4. is this normal? got a short shift and a veilside aluminium knob. the gaiter does not reach the knob and the exposed bit of shaft (can you dig it? :) ) gets pretty hot, almost too hot to touch for an extended time. Wrong oil maybe. Gear change is nice and fluid, appart from the usual part time 4th syncro and can't seem to get into 2nd without stopping when totally stone cold.
  5. Just after I got my Zed the Managing Directors of the firm i work for bought their 21 year old son a Supra (so he didn't feel insignificant next to a mear employee) It's a UK spec TT auto in black on 19's. I knew sooner or later that we'd find ourselves on the same road at the same time and wasn't looking forward to it, especially as he has de cats, Apexi gubbins and some other bits and bobs and recons he's pushing almost 400horse. The time came last thursday night. He pulled into the petrol station where i was fillin up and challenged me :xxx: I drove my 16 year old zed the hardest id driven it since i got it. The scramble lasted 5 miles of dual carrageway and winding A road. And guess what... I minced him  My baby did me proud, although there was a lot of tactical driving invovled he didn't have the edge on me that i thought he would, even on the straits. As an extra bonus... After having such a rigorous work out, the lazy tappet that usually ticks away when she gets hot has now almost completely quitened down!!! and the morale of the story is... persevere with the unreliability because once you get it sorted, wiping the smile off the face of some smug **** who spent 4 times the money on his ride is priceless!!!
  6. Group Buy!!!!!! OUCH HISSSSSSS!
  7. But it's idling ok? TPS? could be timing? changed your plugs recently? Fuel leaks/cloged filter.... Ahhh the joys of a 300ZX, just about anything can fail on it, and it usually does at some stage!
  8. Any strange readouts or fault codes?
  9. AFM, Vacuum hoses, plugs, diet (for the farting). Have you got datascan?
  10. Since I got given the job of running this bakery I have replaced the fleet of Transits with Mitsubishi Cantors (and what a van!!! knocks spotts of the tranny). My MD sold his Pukeyacht estate and bought an RX-8, His son got rid of his Golf and has had a Civic, Prelude and now has a Supra. One of my mates traded in his Pukeyacht 306 for a Civic type-R and the other traded his Saxo for a Scooby. All my doing - Japanese cars rock!
  11. Gutted for you mate! Any idea what the problem is? could just be a dud power supply? might have been an easy fix?
  12. :x: I've hit a wall!!! You know how i said to make sure the pc has TV out etc... Well after hours of frustration I discovered mine doesn't :smw: :headvswal So now i got to get a VGA convertor  If I'd realised this in the first place I'd have follow Legraths advice above and bought a VGA in-dash!!!! DOH!!
  13. True... but you pays your money and takes your pick... I couldn't sell enough sheep for one of those Possible future upgrade... I just wanna see if i can pull it off first
  14. Most important is you need to make sure you get one with a TV out connection or has a graphics card that can send a conventional Video signal out the VGA socket. Otherwise you'll need a convertor and they're about £40 and about the size of an invertor. Good luck mate. Oh and i forgot to mention the DC power supply was a tenner shipped off ebay!
  15. Was playing with DATASCAN last night and found it has a OEM and Actual tyre size setting. Will this recalibrate the speed sensor or is it just for the speed test functions?
  16. Pictures attached of my Craptop, My screen and DVD installed (shut), My screen and DVD installed (open). :hyper: As you can see I've removed most of the casing from around the craptop screen ready for removal before fitting in the car. The touch-pad is also detached ready to go in the centre console.
  17. Install your fitted kitchen??
  18. or of course.... ebay
  19. Does it need to handle a heavy load or not?
  20. Not a million miles away from Caernarfon then  Hope you have a good one. The weathers been absolute shite here non stop!
  21. ...And thats why God invented the Take-Away
  22. I think once a few of us guys on here have exposed our hairy bodies, Lady Hunniepie will be wishing she'd never started this thread. The female figure is soooooo much easier on the eye (please don't anyone post that picture of the minger with gut haning out sat on a parkbench again!!). Shurely most women would admit that themselves??
  23. No problem... you too ;) In fact I'll take some pics later of my Craptop in it's current state and post them here... keep this thread going.
  24. mine too... but it's one of my cars smaller problems!! There is no way to calibrate these KPH>MPH convertors is there?
