Z34 on the way
There'll always be someone that would buy a diesel Z. Lets be honest, if someone's prepared to drive a VW Beetle, then a diesel Z is the least of our worries!

Z34 on the way
This is getting a bit off topic, so for that i apologise, but on the whole diesel/petrol efficiency thing; The new citroen C1 1.4ltr diesel does: MPG 67 Insurance Group 1 CO2 Emissions 109 g/km Road Tax Band B 0-60 mph 15.1 s Power Output 55 bhp Torque 130 Nm 96 lb-ft And the 1ltr petrol does: MPG 61 Insurance Group 1 CO2 Emissions 108 g/km Road Tax Band B 0-60 mph 13.3 s Power Output 68 bhp Torque 94 Nm 69 lb-ft So the diesel is really only better on torque and mpg, and given the extra cost of diesel these days i don't see the point in buying one for the extra 6mpg. The figures even show that the diesel puts out more CO2 than the petrol (although only just). I know this is only one example in the small car end of the scale, but it shows that diesel still has a way to go to make me want to buy one. Back on topic: the z34 kinda looks like a cross between a z33 and a new 911. It might be a "grower" lol.

Anyone here listen to 'Dream Theater'?
heheh. for a start, i'd recommend not using Limewire! Great tracks include: Scarred Innocence Faded Pull Me Under Another Day Take The Time Metropolis or, if you want value for money: A Change of Seasons The Big Medley The guitarist is John Petrucci (spelling??)

Anyone here listen to 'Dream Theater'?
Yep, they're awesome. Started listening to them when they released 'Awake'. Benn listening to them ever since. Also, rumour is that they will be on the next Guitar Hero game (World Tour). Nothing like rocking out to you favourite bands!

Speakers for the Zed
No, they weren't Sony, they were just some crappy unbranded ones. When my car was imported it had both these speakers and the stock Jap radio. Swapped the radio out for a new head unit and managed to trash the stock speakers in about 2mins. Mind you, it's not hard when i saw they were 8w

Speakers for the Zed
I just went for better quality standard size 16.5cm front and 6inx4in for rear. Sound miles better than the 8W Nissan jobbies that were in there. Plus, no messing with cutting the trim up or mdf templates. Gee, 8Watt speakers..........cheers Nissan.

Internet Browers you use
To be honest, i was happy just using internet explorer............until they released 7. Just ran so slowly on my machine. That pushed me away to try other browsers ie Firefox. Was happy with Firefox so thought if other browsers are this good, why not try other OS's. Years ago Linux was not very user friendly, today is a different matter. Haven't regretted leaving Windows in the slightest.

Internet Browers you use
A mixed bag really. At work: Internet explorer (Work restrictions), but also use Firefox Portable when i need something done quickly. It's good because it doesn't install anything on the work computer. At home: Use Opera on mobile phone and Wii. Can't change these so got no choice. On my home computer, i use Firefox because it's as stable as a stable thing on planet stable. Also have Konqueror (came installed with OS) and Opera on it, but always keep going back to Firefox. Also used Iceweasel for a bit, but that's just because of the Debian/Mozilla jollies.

Wii Console
Got a 360 and a Wii. You can just walk in to our local Tesco and buy a Wii these days. I play the 360 for stuff like Halo and Gears of War etc. Got the Wii for Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess etc.

Digital cameras
I've got one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-Coolpix-P5100-Digital-Camera/dp/B000VJ2CLU ..and it's a great compact camera if you don't want the price tag of a DSLR. It's got loads of features but it is a little slow when compared with the more expensive camera's. Saying that, still preferred it to the D40. Plus, it's 12MP.

TOM-TOM question...
It usually covers phones, smart phones and pda's, but tomtom is very popular. I managed to get TomTom working on my mobile thanks to that site. TomTom maps are universal if you have the application that matches the generation of map. i.e v6 maps work with tomtom navigator 6. Maps for mobile, navigator and the go series are interchangeable. you don't "update" maps as such, you just get the new version of map which has been updated for that month/year. To do this you either use your usb lead that came with your unit or just take out the sd card and use a card reader to transfer the map folder (that you have downloaded) across. providing you've got a generation of map that matches your application version, the new map will appear in the "manage maps"-"switch map" section of the preferences screen. the next thing is that it will probably ask for an activation code. Info for that is again on the GSM Forum. Just ask if you get no joy.

TOM-TOM question...
No need to fund piracy on Flea-bay. All can be found on this forum: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/index.php Just choose the correct forum for the format/phone you're using. Of course, the best thing to do is pay TomTom themselves. ;)

DVD editing software - your recommendations please
Been using Pinnacle Studio 9 for a couple of years and it's still very competent and stupid easy to use. Converted my old holiday tapes (Hi8) to DVD (VOB's). It's not a quick process but it was easy. I also tried a bit of simple editing, Studio made it easy to split scenes into chapters, add audio overlay etc. You're looking at 10-20 quid on ebay for v9, or just buy the latest version v11 for about 50 quid from ebuyer.com. I haven't tried v11 so don't know if it's any good. I also used it to import directly from different DVD's to make a home compilation

PC help
Go to the Asus website and read the FAQs for your motherboard. There's a bit on there about downgrading the speed of the DIMMs when you have 4 sticks installed because of instability. Try maually setting them to DDR333. http://support.asus.com/faq/faq.aspx?no=D06D6034-D5C9-49C4-5E1B-CF724DB5C000&SLanguage=en-us

Wehey. I do believe this is the first time I've been spotted. Was on the way to work and tired of doing 45mph.
