  1. My rears are JBL GTO6426e's (4" x 6") and the fronts are Kenwood KFC-1666 (6"). Both are the same size as stock speakers, so no modification necessary.
  2. When i took my old discs off, there was a washer on each of the 19mm bolts, between the bolt head and the hub. When i fitted the new discs, they were fouling the inside of the caliper and wouldn't even rotate. So i added (i think) another 3mm washer to each bolt between the hub and the caliper bracket, spacing the caliper out slightly. Now works a dream. Think i might drop Conceptua a line, cause i doubt they know their 26mm discs have a slightly different internal measurement than the stock 26mm discs. I might add, the washer idea is just temporary until i can fabricate a proper spacer that covers the width of the caliper bracket. I don't think i would rely on the calipers resting on the diameter of two washers too much!
  3. I've just fitted those in the top link this weekend and can confirm they fit my 92 NA (read below), but as Legrath says, double check if you've got 26mm discs already on. The discs above from Conceptua do fit but they were slightly different dimensions to the stock discs i already had on. I had to fit a 3mm spacer (washer) between the caliper bracket and the hub to compensate. Great discs though. My car now actually stops!
  4. Just found this on the Hawk website: http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/Hawk-HB180F-560-HPS-Brake-Pads-Nissan-350Z-p/hb180f.560-12.htm you want these ones: http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/Hawk-HB179F-630-HPS-Brake-Pads-Nissan-300ZX-p/hb179f.630-1.htm
  5. Aren't they the rears for a 350z, not a 300zx?
  6. Here's a pic of the amplifier. Looks different to the one in your post. Also, the connector that plugs into the amplifier is 8-pin, not 4.
  7. Take a look here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=41352&referrerid=6808
  8. With the my 360, i couldn't tell the difference between 1080i and 1080p, and that's on a 42inch plasma. I wouldn't get too drawn in by the sales pitches of it's better getting 'full hd'. Just think whether you're gonna need it or not. 720 and 1080 both look great and are an improvement over SD so just spend what you want to spend. Given that you only want to use it with a pc/itunes, i'd go for a cheap one. Don't forget that 3DTV is starting to emerge... http://pages.samsung.com/us/dlp3d/ .........whether it takes off is another matter of course. But then, if you don't watch much television, it makes no difference.:D
  9. Taken from the web page mentioned above: Should I restrict the number of eggs I eat? No, for most people there is no need to restrict eggs. Neither the Food Standards Agency nor the British Heart Foundation recommend a limit on the number of eggs you can eat. Some people have had reservations in the past about eating eggs, due to their cholesterol content, but it is now recognised that eating too much saturated fat is more likely to raise blood cholesterol than eating foods rich in dietary cholesterol. Eggs are not high in saturated fat. See the cholesterol section for more information. http://www.britegg.co.uk/nutrition05/nutrition2.html
  10. I think it was about 25 quid to protect my no claims with Bell.co.uk. Well worth it as well. I had some numpty drive into me a year ago and because there were no witnesses (that stopped) i had to take a Joint Liability, which would have cost me 9 years no claims! I guess it's a different story when it costs 200 quid though.
  11. Try some of the less-than obvious places. When Wii Fit first came out, everywhere was sold out. I just walked into my local Tesco and they had a shelf full of them. Don't know what they're like now though.
  12. I just went to try Chrome, not seen it before. Open Source my ar$e. They haven't even released it for Linux. Pah. Windows only by the looks of it. Guess i'll have to wait to try it out.
  13. Pick your version here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
  14. Sorry to hear this. Hope you get everything sorted soon. Fitting a covert kill switch for the fuel pump was one of the first things i done when getting the car. In my experience, nobody pays attention when a car alarm is going off anyway. For all those interested, you can read about the idea/process here: http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.368 As long as you hide the switch well, it doesn't matter what the would-be thief does (hot-wire etc), the engine is never going to get any petrol to turn over. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
  15. Boiling water and collecting the evaporated / cooled steam is distilling, same as what you would get in bottled water. It will not remove the mineral ions ie. de-ionise the water. To be honest though, i don't know if you can use distilled water in the battery.
  16. 26590-30P15 £124.68 inc VAT with brake light Taken from this page: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=120206&referrerid=6808
  17. How do you know if it is a 55u or a 55y? I've got a couple of filters (A5208 H890C) on my desk and can't find this marking on any of them.
  18. What he said. Awesome games. I got a 360 from 2005. Had the RROD back in may and it was repaired and returned within a couple of weeks. It'll be interesting how long it lasts after the 'repair'. Only time will tell i guess. Four of my mates which have 360's also had the RROD after a couple of years. They are now all still going strong, but i do wonder if it'll happen after another 2 years (when they are then outside of the extended warrenty).
  19. Yup, the dimmer circuit is not affected. What i meant was, even with the dash lights at the dimmest setting it still seemed a tad bright for night-time driving.
  20. No problem. I used LEDs that were between 1800 and 2000mcd and to be honest, they're a bit too bright. I don't do much night time driving so i don't think i'll bother changing them. But if you're doing a long journey at night, they might be a bit distracting.
  21. Any 12Vf 3mm LED will do for the pods. http://uk.farnell.com/avago-technologies/hlmp-1601/led-3mm-he-red/dp/1003393 They fit perfectly in the 'holders' that are used in the LH and RH pods. If they're not in those holder things then they just sit about 20mm off the pcb. The problem with the 12V ones is you don't get much of a colour choice and they are general speaking not as bright (8mcd lol). I've done mine and I went for lower Vf LEDs (1.5-3.5V and using a resistor to get the correct volt-drop). Mmmmmmmmm much brighter. TBH, i think they might be a bit too bright now. Whoops. If you want a guide, you can find an easy one here: http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=1016166&forum=technical&dtSearch=17 and here: http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=981822
  22. Sony use AAC a lot. My sony head unit will play 'em.
  23. To be honest, i never went for alarms cause no one ever reacts to one anyway. I installed a hidden cut off switch on the fuel pump. No fuel, no steal car!
