  1. Mine are JBL GTO6426e's. Very good. But as Dan says, it's the fronts that you want to concentrate on. My JBL's at the rear are good quality, but because of the size and shape, they'll never set the world alight. My Kenwoods at the front make ALL the difference!
  2. Hi, just renewed my subs. Transaction ID: bccf477c3361a9f95831f897115c7edd Should i have not renewed until the last day of my subscription? My subs was due to run out on the 26th but as i renewed today, my subs now runs out on the 25th of next year instead of the 26th. That means i lost a day subs. Not that critical, just wondering.
  3. Yup, mine went back for repair/replacement in April, so mine now has a new serial number and the hardware is dated 04/2008. I'm just hoping the replaced ones are more reliable, but i fear i may have the same trouble a year down the line.
  4. I Got a 360 purely for Forza 2 and gears of war (and 2 in a couple of months). Both great games. 360 reliability is a joke though, so if you buy one, get one with a warranty. Out of my five close mates, all five of them have had the 'ring of death' (including mine), but Microsoft have been excellent at replacing them. I'll admit, they were pretty crap in the early days before they admitted there was a problem, but turn around time is now less than 2 weeks.
  5. Ooooh, a couple of those were tough. Got 9 out of 10. Managed to get number 4 wrong.
  6. Is hamilton a motor racing guy? >EDIT
  7. It's all relative. He could be comparing the costs of running a Z compared with a Hummer or a Thrust SSC. Just because people ask about fuel costs, doesn't mean they are tight.
  8. My mobile broadband connects at 7.2mb but i'll never achieve that when downloading because no operator can sustain that speed at the moment. I'm more than happy with download speeds of up to 100kps, it's positively lightening fast. I just find it sad that BT seem to have forgotten (or deliberately ignoring) the remaining approx 7% (or whatever the figure is) of the country when it comes to high speed comms. I just wish they would stop sending me junk mail about their broadband packages in the post, when they should know they can't even provide me with the service they're selling. Rant over.
  9. I was still on dial-up until about 3 months ago. I'm now on mobile broadband. Hey, it's not me, blame BT the twisting bar-stewards. They won't enable my exchange. Even 1.5mbps on mobile broadband is still plenty fast enough. You kinda forget the speed of dial-up when it's all thats on offer.
  10. Ahh that's cool. Never knew that. Cheers.
  11. Does an N/A have a safety mode!?!?!
  12. Mine had stock 4 x 6's and they were crap. (Hitachi 8W jobbies) Replaced them with a set of JBL GTO6426e's. Not the best sounding but i wanted a stock fit, which they do perfectly. You won't get much range out of a 4 x 6 but they do the job, if you know what i mean. edit. Forgot to say, the GTO6427's also fit. They are just the newest model and have 2ohm impedance.
  13. The Saab strip lights are really just upper classed 'neons'. Maybe Saab nicked the idea from Chav's in the first place! lol
  14. Just read this on the internet so can't take credit. May be of help.........or may not: "Vista RC1 install does not have the AMD RAID drivers and therefore cannot see anything but the individual drives. Check planetamd64.com for download for the appropriate drivers, and hopefully RC1 will accept them."
  15. True, the DVLA and VOSA will not really care if you have HID's or not (providing they're not affecting the headlight test in the MOT). It's the Ministry for transport and the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) that would be interested in what you're doing. The VCA are the ones that will be pissed that the E-Marking has been broken by the fitting of HID's. But let's be honest, they're never really gonna police it are they. LOL.
  16. I also think it's a legal requirement to have headlight washers if you have HID's. Check here for the official review from the department for transport: http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/drs/hidheadlamps
  17. I'm guessing the new calipers you got were second hand. That means these calipers are probably still 15 years old and it would not be unusual for the pistons to be seized on them as well. Take the caliper off and get someone to push the brake pedal and see if the pistons are actually moving.
  18. I've got a manual NA and I get 27mpg on a daily run of about 50 miles. No motorway driving. HTH
  19. You could also go to Smithys/DTA: http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/oem.php
  20. As always, the graphics card is only as good as the drivers that are written for it. ATI had a terrible reputation for drivers a few years back which is why i always stuck with NVIDIA. These days there's not a great deal to separate them. With 8gb ram you'll need a 64-bit OS. Things may be different now, but 64-bit drivers were ropey at best a year ago when i last tried it. This is why i bought an XBOX. hahaha
  21. As above. Just use a DVI to VGA converter Plug. A lot of graphics cards come with them in the box as standard.
  22. If you are using XP, right click on the background, go to New, the click on 'Compressed (zipped) folder. Name it waht you like. Then just drag the tomtom folders you want in to the zip folder. Windows will add them automatically and retain the folder structure.
  23. Try zipping it first, then just upload the single zipped file.
  24. You can find it on this forum: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/index.php
  25. From what i remember, 10-40 is what Mr. Nissan recommends.
