  1. Sounds feasible, alternatively it could be a relay engaging from another circuit in a different system maybe?
  2. Thinking about it, I think that diagram is applicable to our cars. As mentioned, the manual transmission bypasses the starter relay and goes straight to the coil in the starter. This coil is essentially the starter relay as it connects the starter motor direct to the battery. So no starter relay installed on UK or JDM cars.
  3. I've never known a JDM car that requires the clutch to be depressed in order to start it, so I'd say not. I haven't seen the schematics or wiring diagrams that I know are specifically for a UK or JDM car, but surely surely the starter is still engaged by a relay of some sort? The FSM troubleshooting guide for the starting system isn't particularly helpful as it doesn't even mention the starter relay as a possible cause, even though it's clearly illustrated in the diagrams.
  4. A big thanks to Tony (Bones28) for bringing a throttle cover to me today, was great to see you again and a nice little catch up. Also a big thanks to Ash (adl) pheonix, for sorting me out with the last couple of components for my fuel system overhaul.
  5. I think you find they have the steering wheel on the "right" side of the car. There are 2 types of car, right hand drive and wrong hand drive! [emoji13]
  6. I've regretted selling that ever since! [emoji1]
  7. xxx/xx-18 I reckon!
  8. Have you activated the software?
  9. Isn't it quite difficult (and expensive) to get an imported car on the road in France? Or is that just JDM imports?
  10. The Nismo 555 injectors plug straight into the early fuel rail and connectors without the need for an adaptor kit.
  11. The Selin bracket doesn't fit JDM models, (the mounting on the crash bar is slightly different as they have different bars to USDM) I had to fill a 25mm gap between the MAF brace plate and the T bracket support arm from the crash bar: I was just going to bolt in 25mm box section to fill the gap and I mounted my EBC solenoid on a bracket I made to the side: Having the solenoid to the side wasn't ideal as to keep the 2 lengths even, it was adding an extra 10+" of hose. I decided to mount it on the MAF cross brace plate as it sits nicely there but as the footprint was a bit too wide the bolts would foul the MAFs. I just used 10mm spacers and longer bolts under the brace plate to give clearance for the bolts/nuts to mount the solenoid: With this fitted, the 25mm box section I was going to use to fill the gap, became 35mm because of the spacers and as luck would have it: So I chopped it to length and drilled as required: Prime, paint and put some black capping on it for no apparent reason!: Filled the gap nicely and now the whole assembly is now properly supported: Sorry for the random picture post, but thought I'd share a constructive afternoon! Not sure if anyone has bought a Selin kit recently but they seem to have moved on to moulded rubber instead of silicon for the hoses, very nice bit of kit: I also gave the rocker covers a little spruce up. I'm still undecided between black or silver though (leaning more towards black):
  12. It does look like fun building that [emoji106]
  13. I agree, it is bizarre. ACPF is generally the cheaper option but it's also worth noting that it will pick up parts from other manufacturers that NG won't. For example I wanted some fuel hose clips to refresh my fuel lines, on NG they were around £2.50 each whereas on ACPF they were £1.28 each but showing as a Renault part. I called them (very helpful guys) and they confirmed they're the exact same part made in the same factory and it's not uncommon for manufacturers to share parts and part numbers. I purchased 20 clips which came in bags of 10, one of which was a Renault bag that had "made in Japan" printed on the bag and the other was in a Nissan bag! I generally only use ACPF now for these reasons.
  14. What a fantastic momento Andrew [emoji41]
  15. Mine is currently awaiting spares, not looking good [emoji17][emoji36][emoji34]
  16. Some of them have a different washer bottle! [emoji13][emoji851][emoji67]?*[emoji310][emoji67]?*[emoji538]
  17. I'm sure it was Paul that did mine a few years back. Nice bloke.
  18. Sorry guys I'm going to have to drop out too. My Z is still not serviceable but I also have another commitment spring up for Sunday. Look forward to seeing lots of pictures [emoji106]
  19. That looks awesome Gary [emoji41]
  20. Hi, I'm after a good condition throttle cable cover for a twin turbo please. Regards, Joel.
  21. Jimmer is your man, only once you have a Jimmer build can you truly give it some beans!
  22. Hi Paul, they aren't cheap unfortunately which is why it's taken me so many years to progress this step! I purchased these from SpecialtyZ as the combined package cost was better VFM in comparison to Z1/CZP. Probably the main reason for using SZ is that they hold such a vast database of maps for my setup, that the off-the-shelf chip they supply should be good for a while until I can get the car to Protuner. Greg Dupree at SZ has been a great help (along with others such as Jimmer, AndrewG and Funky) in choosing the right components for this upgrade, but I do agree that 740cc is way more than I will ever need, the 555 (615cc) injectors would've been plenty but SZ don't sell these. E85 is available in many states over there which allows most cars to utilise the higher flow rate of the 740's so he sells these for further proofing upgrades and has mapped 1000's of cars with them. I could've purchased the 615cc kit from Z1 which would've possibly been slightly cheaper but I specifically wanted the JWT adaptor kit (no modifications required) and a SZ chip. I did have a set of Nismo 555cc injectors with the old style connectors that would've plugged straight in but opted to sell them on in order to upgrade to the pintleless Tomei/Nismo later style jobbies and as I already had a Wiring Specialties harness, a $25 harness meant I could neatly change out the connector types.
