The company is PowerZed, Jimmer can give you a detailed report on what would need doing to keep the car healthy. I would recommend changing the cambelt regardless personally. I was going to suggest meeting you at the collection point but it’s the wrong side of Hertfordshire for me to have time unfortunately. It all sounds legit to me, you have a very late model UK car there matey, enjoy it.

Welcome to the club Deegan. Who cares if it’s a Cat C as long as it’s straight, you’ll have a lovely car to enjoy for years to come. Good job for saving a Z from the scrapyard and I look forward to seeing the project progress.

I use nothing more than soap and water on the Z wheels. If you’re anything like me your wheels won’t generally get “3 months of grim winter use” dirty? Around once a year I’ll give them a thorough clean and then wax them (I usually use Collinite 476s) and then go over them with a sealant. From then on, the brake dust, road grime and any dirt just falls off with your standard shampoo wash. The only times I find it needs extra is when you get the odd stubborn tar spot during the summer, then I break out the Autosmart Tardis in very small quantities (awesome product!). If it’s on a heavier use car, the same rule can be applied but step up the cleaner to something more aggressive. I find the AG clean wheels is a nice mild cleaner for regular use on protected wheels but if they’re properly dirty and not really protected, I would recommend Bilt Hamber Autowheel. It has great cleaning power but as a trade off will likely strip most of the protection so only really needed if you don’t keep on top of it. There are literally 100’s off wheel cleaning products that will all no doubt do a great job but I don’t have experience with many of them so just choose something that suits your need.

I went out to get some detailing supplies with my Halfords voucher from the COTY competition (thanks again guys! [emoji5]). I quite like using the Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax on the Zed and the daily drives as it gives some decent temporary protection between washes and is so easy to use. Once washed and towel dried, there are always those fine specs of water left behind and it shows up particularly well on a black car, so as a drying aid, I then use a fresh clean microfibre cloth and give the car a Quik once over! It’s just a spray on, wipe off affair but the beauty of this stuff is that you can spray it on anything. It won’t discolour plastics or rubbers, in fact it nourishes them and helps to keep them supple and UV protected. This is generally my go-to LSP for a normal wash routine, it has a reasonable wax content for its price so does the job I want it to. I have been using Autoglyms Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner for a while now and although it’s a perfectly adequate shampoo, I prefer something a bit more sudsy (especially on the Z). For this reason after my pre wash in snow foam or TFR, I usually snow foam again and leave it on when I go in with the wash mitt. I’ve been meaning to get a new product as the BSC has pretty much run out now and I was going to shoot for the well reviewed Bilt Hamber Autowash but as I was in Halfords, I though I’d try a bottle of the UHD Shampoo and see how it fairs. I also grabbed a couple of 5 litre bottles of ionised water that I use for my concentrate APCs and clay lubes etc. [emoji106]

I introduced my Z to a very good friend of mine’s Mach1 Mustang and the Z just quivered in submission. The Mustang was like “wha’ you looki’ at punk?”!

I didn’t realise this was back on and managed to watch the first 3 episodes over the last few days. I really enjoyed every episode [emoji106]

I have 6-4, very comfortable setup and with my Stillen ARB set to the “hardest” setting, it performs well on the street. I also run my dampers on the softest rebound setting for an ultra smooth GT ride! That said, I’m not very low so can afford a small amount of roll (relatively).

That’s a shame, it would’ve been great to travel together but it will still be nice to catch up. I have booked the 10:30-11:30 slot as that’s the only slot left and I have spoken to Simon who is going to have a look in the morning when he wakes up (Japan time) and will hopefully book it up too.

Has anyone seen the Facebook post with “Darren” the council worker from Chester measuring pothole depths to see if they need to be repaired or not? The council (and Darren) got absolutely slaughtered for it!

I would hazard a guess that the shipping will be at least $60 bringing the total to over $200 (£140-145) and then add your duty/handling charges on top.
