  1. I didn't realise that leather was an option for JDM cars, very rare to see a factory fit leather interior on those? Whenever I see a JDM car with leather I assume they have been retrofitted from a UK car.
  2. The early tweed seats were series 1 only. Series 1 UK cars had the darker shade tweed followed by leather from series 2 onwards. Series 1 JDM cars had the light grey tweed followed by velour from series 2. At some point, the JDM cars changed from velour to the darker tweed but I'm not sure when that change over was; Simon? Maybe there were different factory options by this time?
  3. A more prolific user will give you a more detailed response as far as possible fault codes are concerned, as I'm not sure that any of them will "recognise" a misfire. However, I know that with features on the conzult, such as the cylinder drop test, it's possible to aid a diagnosis of a misfire.
  4. I agree, buyer beware with this one. I'm not sure it's worth the starting bid of £1000 as I would put money on that rust being even worse than it looks. Also, just a hunch but I don't get very trustworthy vibes from the seller; "Recently MOT'd the car and it passed with flying colours", surely that rust should at least be an advisory? (if not a fail for a more strict tester); "One thing I must say is there is a little hole near the bottom of the petrol cap, which is a common fault with these.". That "little" hole like that isn't really that common and in my opinion it certainly isn't that little! Maybe I'm being unfair to the seller?
  5. I'd guess that is a Navan spoiler..?
  6. Noz, I think you should do a fully fledged updated UK based guide with a similar format and level of detail as that. It would make a very interesting read I'm sure. I know most of it has already been covered in several of your posts, spread across the forum over the past years, but all of the info, contained in one concise sticky thread like that would be a great reference. You could have the link as a reply on speed dial!
  7. You might have just been the catalyst for the start of a fashion for auto conversions! I used to really enjoy using my UK auto as a daily drive.
  8. Welcome to the club Ryan. What year is your 300zx and is it a twin turbo?
  9. My word, what a great read! That link should be in a sticky.
  10. There's a few reviews knocking about. I think it'll be worth spending a little extra on them, I'm worried all these cheapy £30 ebay cams will be terrible quality. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/85714/car-camera-reviews-2014-dash-cam-test http://www.driving.co.uk/news/buying-guide-leading-dashboard-cameras-dash-cams-reviewed/
  11. Does anyone use these and have a recommendation of which one to buy? I've decided to get one and a quick ebay reveals 750 million different types, any advice? Regards, Joel.
  12. Happy birthday matey, hope it's been a nice working birthday! :)
  13. Nn Graham, sweet dreams x I'll give you some more ideas tonight!
  14. I had to double glance at your user-name then! How the devil are you stranger?
  15. You're best bet is hooking it up to a conzult and doing the cylinder drop test.
  16. The windscreen upper moulding is still available and relatively inexpensive from MJP.
  17. Could you not sell your UK TT and use the funds to either rebuild or purchase a good engine from a reliable source? Would be a shame to break a perfectly serviceable UK car.
  18. I've been meaning to recover my targa panels as they're in awful condition! Looks like a tidy job you've done, good work.
  19. I bet he charged you £8000 and blew up your engine too?
  20. Happy Birthday matey :)
  21. I have also been flashed by one of those and know several others flashed on the same stretch. None of us have received penalties.
