  1. I didn't realise the gearbox was mounted inside the car!!
  2. You can't honestly tell me that this has ever worked with a seized bolt/stud? Unfortunately, the best way to remove that stud is to drill and easy out. Just don't use the cheap chocolate stud extractors as Andrew has pointed out, you'll potentially make things worse. Snap-on sell very good easy outs, either individually or as a kit, I use these regularly and with the 7/16" drive on them, I have exerted some serious force on them without failure.
  3. The vibration is likely related to the worn centre bearing.
  4. My thoughts from the noise that you describe would be a wheel bearing. Was it the pax side rear bearing that you have replaced already?
  5. I also think the mongoose is one of the best looking systems available with the quad tips.
  6. Hi, welcome to the club :) Your best bet is to pop across the bridge into Bristol and visit Jimmer @ PowerZed. One of the best in the country with these engines and relatively close to you.
  7. They look ok in the pics, but for that price you can get some tried and tested MeisterR coilovers with a decent amount of reputable feedback. With the club discount, I'm pretty sure the MeisterR will work out a little bit cheaper than the ones you have linked.
  8. Congrats on the incoming new edition matey. You're right, those running shoes are expensive, my wife is currently in training for the London marathon in April and has a few pairs of different running shoes!
  9. The rachet type don't require pins, just pull them up to the correct height and you're set. I have a set and they work fine, generally more height options than the pin type so less time fannying about setting the height and more time fannying about on the car!
  10. Maybe you could direct your insurance company to the states in order to source replacement glass for you?
  11. https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hvideo-xfa1/v/t42.1790-2/10446897_10152559324951147_887037104_n.mp4?rl=855&vabr=475&oh=6da02dff3232766e9d768d66de51dc66&oe=54B7D443
  12. Last resort maybe?.. https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=9416 Otherwise, if you get no luck with Mike and the shipping is extortionate (which I'm sure it will be) your best bet is a breaker. When I replaced all mine for UK blue tint glass, I managed to source quite a few UK bootlids. The blue tint is also found in factory painted blue JDM variants and all later spec JDM cars.
  13. There's no "should" about it Lee surely?
  14. I've found that, lately, it doesn't seem to matter who you use, you get stung for import duty. It's money lost to the taxman so I guess they have invested in making sure they get every penny they can!
  15. I got a different type of blade for my rear one too :p
  16. Very nice choice of colour [emoji106]
  17. I'll likely be there on the Sunday, possibly late on the Saturday too. No details on pricing yet?
  18. Very little performance advantage of the R33 GTR rears over stock Howard. I have them on mine as I refurbished a complete set and I prefer the aesthetic continuity front and rear. You could get £150-200 for them from someone with the fronts that wants them to match (I assume your fronts aren't Brembo?), you could then offset that against your ksport or whatever you choose.
  19. That looks amazing, if the camera doesn't catch it as well as it looks in real life then this thing will be awesome. It looks like a very flattering design; sleek, subtle and understated, but still gives the car a very different edge. Very much looking forward to seeing this in colour. Where is dasstech by the way Dan, a local outfit?
  20. The colour may not be as it first appears, it's a rag rolled paint job, up close the finish is mildly.. 'bizarre'? I think it was a very expensive paintjob.
  21. I nearly had my name down then! :p
