Looking for passenger side jap spec mirror
AndyZ has lots in stock, UK and JDM in most colours.

What did you do to your zed today?
I take the door cards off no matter what the job. It's a safety thing. The Haynes manuals always tell you to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery but I always go for the door cards.

zed prices rising
That's why you agree a value in writing as part of the insurance premium. In my experience, agreed value insurance policies (normally part of a classic policy) are generally cheaper than the mainstream insurers anyway, so it's a win win situation.

I agree, I don't mind either, but wouldn't it be nice?

zed prices rising
Based on that, wouldn't it be nice to know that one day soon, your good vfm fast car could potentially be worth a decent sum? No one is obsessing over this but it's nice to know that the evidence is there to support that we're heading in that direction.

Red Z project.
In your experience Noel, what would you say was the crossover point in boost and/or power before moving from BKR7E to BCR8ES? I have some 8's here to fit but I'm not sure I'll be running enough boost/power to warrant fitting them and should maybe get the 7's.

zed prices rising
I agree and feel the same way, but the true reality of the market would only become clear when these cars are bought and sold at those prices.

red Z32 stolen Chesterfield
If you're going to rob one for parts, rob one with lots of sought after expensive parts fitted, ie Rich Cropley's.

zed prices rising
Id be interested to see the market reaction if FunkySi decided to sell his car with a 5 figure price tag. It would be great to see what sort of interest would be generated and how many genuinely interested buyers there would be in that price bracket. I think it's early days to successfully command those prices but I don't think it's far away. Dan300zx, you'll be pleased to know that your cheap jap banger could now be a nice little investment for you [emoji13]

Bugger, I'm at work. Nice sunny day for it too :(

Should I worry if a vin number isn't recognised in FAST?
I'd be more worried about the rust than the chassis number :)

I would also have been very disheartened and annoyed at that too. However, looking at it from the sellers perspective, if I was selling my car and after I had accepted an offer, a friend of mine offered the same money, I too would let down the original buyer for 2 main reasons; firstly, out of loyalty to my friend and secondly, the knowledge (assuming it was a good friend) that the sale was a certainty. For all the seller knew, you could've pitched up knowing he was desperate and made some wild offers or tried to negotiate the price down (I'm not suggesting that you would but these things happen). I would like to think that the seller was aware and mindful that you hadn't quite started your journey or inconvenienced yourself too much when making the decision as anyone with a conscience would, but when you really need such a quick sale, sometimes you can't afford to be "nice"? Don't give up on buying one, when I bought my first one, I had been searching for 18 months and after viewing/testing 11 300zx twin turbos around the length and breadth of the country, I had lost a lot of enthusiasm. One day at work a colleague bought in the local rag (one that if never heard of in fact) asking if I was still looking for one of these; it had a tiny ad in the classifieds amongst the 7 or 8 other cars inside for a UK spec Z32 and was only a few miles up the road! I'm sure many others share similar stories. There are still lots of good cars out there, so you may not view as many in that timeframe, but hopefully you'll find a goodun, certainly so if you up your budget!

- TATTON PARK CLASSIC CAR SPECTACULAR & AUTOJUMBLE 30th May / 31st May 2015
Hello stranger :)- Zed on Pistonheads for sale (Nissan - 'other models' category)
I hope you don't mean Ed as he is a legend!- Zed on Pistonheads for sale (Nissan - 'other models' category)
Why does it have to be sold before the weekends out?- Poole Quay July 3rd
I used to be a regular at Poole Quay, here I am parked next to my little boat:- Importing something yourself.
Do yourself a favour and subscribe, you won't regret it.- Brembo brakes fitted
You're asking the right man!- Importing something yourself.
Hang out for a Z32 chap, for 5k there is no better car of this category out there in my opinion.- Importing something yourself.
To be fair, the OP has stated that the £2300 is a price landed in Newcastle. But to me this further supports the question of what car to expect for that money.- Importing something yourself.
What would you get for 5k though (isn't there a 10 year rule for export from Japan)? With the market the way it is, 5k for a decent car warranties by a reputable company is a reassuringly expensive price tag. If you do it yourself and get scammed as suggested above by importing a lemon, you'll spend 2k in the first 10mins! I guess these import agencies can pull those sort of profits on the newer expensive exotic cars so making a relatively small amount on these bargain basement cars is a waste of their time and a liability. With the dwindling interest in the z32 and the plummeting prices, not helped by the shear numbers of any old car being imported, the grey import market has practically stopped for these cars. Currently, it appears the values are turning a corner so get in quick. I genuinely hope you get yourself a decent car, keep us all updated on your progress. - TATTON PARK CLASSIC CAR SPECTACULAR & AUTOJUMBLE 30th May / 31st May 2015
