Tyre question again
I can only advise with reference to my own setup as every tyre manufacturer will differ (sometimes quite drastically!) and I'm not sure what tolerance wheel manufacturers work to for offsets but it really isn't an exact science. Front fitment with those sizes will look lovely in the arch lips but you will likely get some rub of the arch liners (behind the intercoolers) on full lock. My front wheels 8.5x19 et22 rubbed on lock with 235/35 tyres but not with 225/35, I know your wheels are smaller but the rolling radius with those tyres are larger and with the wheels 2mm further out of the arch, it will compound that problem. Caster adjustment can help avoid rub on lock but I wouldn't advise adjusting that to fit the wheels, the wheels should fit around the optimum setting. As for the rears, my arch return lips are rolled almost flat at the top, I have 19x9.5 et25 with 255/30 tyres and I recently found out that they rub on compression on a heavy bump with an adult in the back (family estate model!). I did have 265 tyres fitted before but had to swap them as they rubbed. I am slightly lowered on soft spring coilovers and have the suspension set to max soft, which is another variable that will affect your results. The fitment you have chosen will be particularly sensitive to your camber settings, you could dial it in at the top to get good clearance, but again, it's always better to get the optimum setting, then fit wheels.. that fit! (Sounds simple, but in reality is not an easy task to find wheels you like that are available in the perfect offsets - or in fact, any wheels available in the "perfect offset"!).

Tyre question again
Fitment warning: Whilst they will physically fit on the wheel, if he installs 17x9.5" ET25 with 275 tyres on the rear, they will catch the arches without a pull (not just a roll)/or excessive camber. That is of course unless your suspension is particularly high and hard!

A new retro treat for my 300
I agree. I've recently looked at changing my double din for a single din unit; until I saw the choice of designs available which all look rediculous! I like it, nice touch [emoji106]

Bits you don't see that make a big difference.
That silent coat is good stuff. I've used more of that in my car than I'd dare to admit; if slick Pete or Jaffa ever saw the amount installed on a pair of scales, I think they might punch me! The Dodo closed cell foam you used, is the material similar to that used in them roll up camping mats?
