  1. The version of that bulge that SE Nissan did that extended down onto the nose was much nicer than the original Z Centre one I had. Not sure if it was a Paul Bailey item originaly? I've nearly changed the round lights for 99 spec so many times when I've seen the Fiat ones on other Z's but I do still really like them on a silver wide arch for some reason. Strange how I think they look awful on some cars but OK on my own LOL All down to the spacing and contrasting colours I suppose.
  2. Yeah at the end after he's got some expert studying and doing research on him and got funding for treatment that he could never get in his own country he eventually turns it down. Sorry but I had to think what a tosser - he's already been told he'll die from it and he chooses to make a few quid in a freakshow instead of a chance of a cure for free :xxx:
  3. Have to agree with every word of that Si. The new Evo looks fantastic and a bit Skyline like. Like you I never liked the Evo look until this new one. Subaru have really lost the plot!
  4. Not even lacquered it and it looks pants close up LOL
  5. I actually thought you'd prefer this one Si as it's more subtle from most angles. I always thought the old one was too straight with really harsh square lines that didn't flow with the other curves on the car, especially being wide arch :)
  6. Just roughly sprayed with a can from Halfords so it doesn't look so bad until I can get it to the bodyshop. I know it's patchy and not a perfect colour match before you start! [/img] [/img] [/img]
  7. Well with standard turbo's the 555's are a waste of time as the turbo's can't flow enough air to make them necessary. The standard fuel pump is good for 550bhp+ anyway and very few people ever replace them. Basically to make ANY use of those mods you need some big turbo's and a custom remap. On stock internals you'd be crazy to go much past 400bhp anyway. Chris.

I wouldn't be trying to get it running at full power until you've got it checked over and fixed the water leak or you're heading for more trouble.
  9. No such thing as a 400bhp chip. I'd get a JWT or such which gives you known results on an otherwise standard engine.
  10. Dear oh dear! Watch out for the Z police is all I can say
  11. Thats sounds like it could be a dead battery not holding it's charge. This Black and Decker charger wasn't exactly cheap at £53 but it does various battery tests and even has an alternator test to monitor it on and off load. Starts off charging at 10A then drops to 6 then 2 as the battery recharges. You can then leave it permanently connected and it will just top it up as and when it drops. I was about to bin an expensive battery after trying 2 other chargers but I'm glad I paid the extra for this piece of kit. I've got 2 cars and a boat so always swapping flat batteries around. Should have got one sooner.
  12. Yeah it's been hanging around for ages and it just seemed silly fitting it when the car was off the road but I've got the bug again :D It REALLY suits the rest of the car and I'm so glad I went to all the effort of getting it :) Will have to meet up for some more of those pics on the moors when it's sorted.
  13. Yes that's the new Border
  14. Which? The Border or the old Z Centre one? I'll have a look.
  15. No it's pissed it down every time I've gone out to get on with it. Spent today getting the dead battery sorted and got it running again then fitted my Border bonnet. Hoping to spend a few evenings and weekends doing the clutch now the weather seems to be improving a bit :)
  16. Got the Z started up for the first time in months today and after a good warm up gave it some revs and played a few tunes with the engine. Sounds AWESOME! I'm hooked again. Just need to fix the clutch now to get it back on the road. Decided to get the Border bonnet out of the shed that's been waiting to go on since last summer when the clutch failed. I think it looks stunning on and really suits the car. It's the finishing touch to make the car exactly what I've always wanted as I've never quite been happy with the old bonnet I had. It's been roughly primed and sprayed over with a tin of silver paint so it doesn't look quite so silly as the blue it was painted when I got it but it needs to go to the paintshop to be done properly. For those of you that don't know the Border it's the same bonnet as Mac's and cost silly money. I was told there are only 2 of these in Europe - at the price they ask I can well believe it. Will get some pics up tomorrow :) If anyone wants my old bonnet with Z Centre bulge I'm open to offers.
  17. OK the giant sig was a kind of silent protest to the page and bandwidth wasting shite that a lot of people have cluttiering up the forum! As nobody has really commented I might as well remove it! LOL
  18. No hadn't noticed that! Will have to get some vids up when I have time :)
  19. Yeah I took the battery out and tried it also. Got the B&D charger from Halfrauds today and it was showing the battery at 2v but it's been giving it a heavy charge since 5pm and it's looking like it's come back to life :) I think I've just let the battery get way too low and then tried a couple of crap chargers on it. Z fired up first time on another spare battery and sounds awesome  Got the bug again and going to get it back on the road as soon as funds allow. Put the Border bonnet on and it really suits the car :D
