There was nothing wrong with XP and there's hardly anything of benefit in Vista. That's why Microsoft have had to start selling XP again after they stopped it last year. The next version of Windows is due around 2010 which I think is when they have now said XP will end so basically Vista is dead already LOL It's like when Windows ME came out and was so bad nobody used it and went straight to XP.

We have these all the time they're called "Events" or "Meets" and there's a forum section dedicated to them. Everyone turns up and one or more of the cars are knackered and can't get home so we get the screwdrivers out :rofl: LOL

Always been a fan of the Evil Dead series, Evil Dead II being a comedy favorite. Army Of Darkness the 3rd one is great also.

Yes it's because someone fitted a standard steering wheel boss to mount the Momo instead of getting the correct HICAS boss for the Z. As the ECU can't tell where your wheel is pointing it thinks your HICAS is faulty and disables it.

Some actually say they reduce wear as the changes are faster. Most of these boxes are so old that they are probably about to fail anyway. Nobody fits an ALC and then drives it steady do they? Had one on mine and loved it for a couple of years until the box died but I blame that on the thrashing I gave it LOL It's like saying don't fit a huge turbo cos it'll make your tyres wear out LOL

There's not really much can go wrong with the fitting of it other than pointing it the wrong way round in which case it would be too near the dash and look a bit odd! Wouldn't have thought tightening it too much would stop it going in gear, just make it stiff to move. Which kit is it? Where from?

You don't get any brush marks it's really thick enamel that kind of levels itself out to a rock hard glossy finish. I've done mine and you wouldn't know they weren't a factory fit item. Well worth the money and certainly nothing like just painting them which would look crap!

Says he's got a series 2 PTU in the first post ;) Could still be a faulty one though, it does happen. Smoke might be some oil has dripped on the turbo while it's been stood. Could be a dodgy plug that's breaking down? If not it must be the wiring or a knackered cylinder.

Not really a good idea as it would destroy all the seals unless you completely dismantle them. Why not just get a caliper paint kit from Demon Tweeks? http://www.demon-tweaks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=ROAD&pcode=FOL2160 Job done in an hour and it's enamel so looks OEM and lasts forever!
