  1. I'm on Xbox360 as "rocc0 siffredi" The second 0 = Zero Have hardly had chance to play COD4 since I bought it but trying to get a bit more time on there late evenings.
  2. Does the backlight look to be working OK across the width of the screen when the case is off? If not the backlight might have gone. If the backlight is nice and bright then the LCD panel must be faulty. Screen brightness is hardware controlled from the keyboard usually so if it won't go any brighter with that then it's unlikely any windows brightness utility will make a difference.
  3. Scons or scones for tea? LOL
  4. You might be able to swap the backlight but it sounds like its already a knackered one.

It's mine in a couple of weeks so start putting some cash on one side :D
  9. Yeah I wondered WTF it had to do with chocolate too. Very strange ad.
  10. I think you'll like this one: http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album07 Russell's own from Z1 Motorsports with 1000bhp kind of shows what can be done .
  11. LOL OK I'll clarify for the picky ones on here! Sky dishes point south south east and that's probably 99% of the dishes in the UK. Some other crazy bearded types do have motorised dishes and point them at other satellites to watch foreign crap! LOL
  12. Satellite dishes do face south :)
  13. Very unlikely. If you go to the manufacturers site and see if they have XP versions of the drivers available to download then that makes it easy. Most stuff will work anyway but you might have a couple of bits of hardware that aren't on the XP CD and you just need to do a search and find the driver online.
  14. Maybe it's just a genuine DVLA mistake on the computer where they gave you the points instead of someone else with the same name? Might not be identity theft after all. Just read your other reply. Has someone got it in for you?
  15. Yes if you have to go back to court mention you've lost a day or 2's work because of being unable to drive and had to pay for legal advice and they will take that into consideration ;)
  16. According to Pet2407's other post: It depends when the offence was committed: LC10 Driving without a licence (replaced by LC20 from 01/12/91) LC20 Driving while under age. Driving other than in accordance It's got to be stolen ID. Knowing what the courts are like from a few minor motoring offences that they have managed to make a complete cock-up of I bet they will leave it entirely in YOUR hands to sort out with a solicitor at YOUR expense. I had 6 visits to court over a fixed penalty "using a mobile phone" offence when stationary which I was given at the same time as a "driving without insurance" court summons which was all a mix up with paperwork. I shouldn't have been charged with 2 offences in one stop and they should have been dealt with together but because I was facing 9 to 11 points in one hit and disqualification I had to go to court. 6 days off work and £600 in solicitors costs they admitted I had insurance and shouldn't have been given the fixed penalty either. After all the confusion the DVLA messed up and gave me 3 points for driving with no insurance which is a 6 to 8 point offence! I've still got the 3 points on my license and had already paid the fine. Should never have had to go to court.
  17. I'm surprised you haven't been pulled over before since you "lost" your license. I know a couple of people who have been banned over the years and the Police have done checks on them to make sure they aren't still driving. One of the guys at work got banned for drink driving but didn't tell anyone. A week later the police walked into the office and asked if we were aware he was using one of the company cars without a licence or insurance. They had been waiting for him outside his house and followed him to work. He left the company VERY shortly after!
  18. Oh dear that's not good mate. I hope they can sort it out quick but knowing what they are like it could be a nightmare. Are you sure you weren't soooo pissed you don't remember any of it? LOL
  19. I presume a full car kit would include all the rear suspension arm bushes? The car seems to squirm right and left powering out of long sweeping bends a bit like the feeling of torque steer in a front wheel drive car. I was sure it was a HICAS issue until I disabled it but as I know the subframe bushes are shot I'm thinking of doing them next. Maybe Si is right though and the locking collars I have will already have locked that out? Any ideas? The rear suspension arms and subframe bushes are about the only original part left on this car LOL
  20. That seems really cheap! I was expecting a lot more than that just for the subframe ones.
  21. Yeah I've already got those but not sure they quite do the job! I had a leak from the bushes a couple of years ago and used them to cover it up to get through the MOT :smash: LOL If the bushes are knackered I'm presuming the collars can't stop any side to side play, only crush them down more?
  22. It looks like the gearbox may be coming off soon so I might as well do the subframe bushes at the same time. The back end has been feeling really vague for a while and when powering out of corners it seems to squirm from side to side. The HICAS has been removed and it's on Koni shocks and Blitz springs that are about 4 years old with hardly any use. Is there anything else that could be causing it to feel like the rear wheels are coming off? LOL Might be best getting uprated ones as the car is running a lot of power. Where's best to get a set of subframe & diff bushes and how much? Anyone got the Z1 solid ones? I'll take the subframe out and get the local garage to install the new ones I think.
  23. "Anyone want to fly my invisible kite?"
  24. I think that must be the one, it does look a bit more like it in his sig pic. Saikoracer? Didn't know he'd changed his name. He was only in Bradford not that far away really I could have helped him out if I'd known he was having probs with it. Was late for the Tan Hill meet otherwise I'd have stopped and taken a pic to be sure of the details.
