Very proud Dad:D
She's grown a bit since I last saw her! Just started taking my 6 year old daughter for horse riding lessons and she's loving it. Long way to go before she starts the showjumping though! LOL

AA breakdown repair cover
They don't guarantee to fix it by the road and I wouldn't expect them to on a car like a Z. It does say in the T&C's that you must carry a spare tyre if the car has one as standard otherwise they would spend all their time running round after people who either can't afford a spare or modified their car and expect them to pick up the bill. I called them one weekend when I had a blowout and no spare and they offered to arrange a recovery company for me and charge it on. Seems fair enough to me as it was my choice to put massive wheels and brakes on so the space saver is useless. Keep meaning to buy an old 18" wheel as a spare. They are the ONLY recovery company that will take you to YOUR choice of destination when you break down whether that be a garage, home or somewhere else. RAC etc will only take you to a local garage to fix. Been with them years and saved me a fortune for only a tenner a month. Last year my clutch went in the Lake District and I was facing a £500 tow for the 70 miles home without them!

Digital cameras
I just bought a Fuji S8000fd for £150 as they are being reduced a lot since the S8100 came out in April. Bargain if you ask me! The only difference is the new one is 10mp instead of 8 but unless you are going to be printing off posters it makes no difference really. It's a great compromise between a small compact camera and a big old SLR. I also really like the idea of being able to put normal batteries in it when I'm away from home and the rechargeables have gone flat.

Any members going to....
Been wanting to go to Le Mans for years and every time the Z is off the road! Maybe next year! (I should have that as a standard reply for all events) :D

WTF - Ebay Feedback Changes
Yes but sellers also do that because they have no other way of knowing an item has been received. There's no point giving great feedback to someone who then fraudulently tells you it hasn't been delivered and asks for a refund or wants another item sending. Also a lot of new users forget to give feedback so a good way of getting them to do it is to remind them you'll give them feedback when they leave it for you. No seller is going to leave negative feedback after a buyer has bought something and given them a good rating. There's often a very good reason for tit-for-tat negatives and there's 2 sides to the story. At least it was there to read before. I think it should be opened up more so you can even leave a mini review and get the facts straight.

Worlds slowest laptop
512MB isn't enough for XP and Office 2007 and a Celeron M 1.8 isn't that quick anyway. I'd certainly add more RAM, up to 2GB if you can afford it. Lower spec laptops often have slow drives and shared video RAM too so you might find that 64 to 128MB of the 512 is already gone before you start.

Imploding Slave cylinder
Had that happen on mine only it was the fork that snapped a couple of months after fitting an RPS clutch and uprated pivot ball! Has anyone developed a quick release bell housing?

WTF - Ebay Feedback Changes
Yes I claimed it back but the fees were quite high on a £3K boat and it took nearly 2 months to sort out on each of the 3 occasions it "sold" so I was without a couple of hundred quid for all of summer! You don't get your listing fees back, only the final value charge.

designer didnt think about this one LOL
Jesus!

WTF - Ebay Feedback Changes
You can now basically back out on buying anything and there's no consequences. I sold a car and my boat 3 times last year on eBay and nobody turned up. Cost me a fortune in fees and on each occasion I got no reply from them until I left negative feedback a month later, at which point the replies miraculously appeared! I think it's a REALLY bad move on their part and makes it more like a normal shopping site than an auction. All it's done is given all the dodgy buyers an excuse to rip off the sellers as much as they like and I'm sure they will have to spend even more time sorting out disputes the long way.

Gorgeous.......
Very nice! "It develops 500bhp and 738lb ft of torque, which is 86bhp and 421lb ft more than the standard V8 petrol R8. Decent." That's a LOT more than the petrol model. As people have said though, performance deisels use just as much fuel and it costs so much more now. Not worth bothering and I bet it sounds crap compared with the petrol. You'll never get 29mpg in it unless you leave it in 6th (which you could probably do with that torque LOL) all day long.

Bentley Continental C***
Choose a suitable word begining with C for the title. Followed a black Bentley GT home yesterday with a really naff looking cut down number plate in italics with the letters crammed in and black screws trying to make it spell something that I really couldn't work out. The kind of thing you expect to find on a really chavved up Corsa. The guy driving it looked about 20. As I got closer I noticed the following at the bottom of the plate: "To be envied is to be desired!!!" :xxx: :xxx: :xxx: How are you meant to take something like that? LOL For a start I don't even like the car so maybe he was referring to himself? :slap:

Gagging to build a Kitcar
I'd base it on a proper kit. Making your own from scratch will never get on the road and probably be a nightmare to drive once you've spent half your life putting it together LOL I'm fancying a GT40 replica but with a V8 twin turbo as soon as I get a garage to build it in :D

at last somebody has got it right
Alan, You're fired!!!

strosek suspension
I've never heard of them doing suspension either. I know they did wheels and exhausts but that's about it. Maybe someone has said it's Strosek because it came off a Strosek kitted car? Is it actually marked Strosek?
