New hose arrived today so got under the car and covered in clutch fluid only to find it's the wrong bloody part they've sent! :mac1: I now remember why I gave up on the Z for a year :rofl:

You'll come to regret all three! LOL I disappear for a while and everyone goes all sensible and grown up. What's the Z world coming to??? :D

What's with all this marriage going on??? Congrats mate. Maybe I should think about it myself after a respray, standalone engine management, remap etc LOL And yes, sharing your wife at the next meet would be great :rofl: :nana2:

Mine must have only done a couple of thousand miles on the car and I'm shocked it could wear through so easy. It had only just touched the edge of the oil filter but managed to go through the braiding and it looked fine until I pumped the pedal a few times and spotted a very tiny amount of fluid appear. Leaking just enough to get air in the system and stop it working. Still not sure if there might be another problem with the clutch as it started to slip once or twice on full boost just before it failed but we'll see when the new hose arrives this week :hyper:

LOL :rofl: I should make it to a few shows this year but got to get the paint sorted first. I scraped the side skirt a couple of years ago now and just sprayed it with a can to cover it up until I got it professionally done. Then I fitted the Border bonnet and that needs painting too. Few other bits of rust and scrapes too so almost a full spray job. Hopefully it will be all done for summer :)

Just needs MOT, Tax, Insurance now and a fair bit of paintwork sorting :cry: Doesn't look like the mortgage will be getting paid next month :rofl: How's it going Steve? Been a while since we all met up :)

Well I guessed as much! LOL :tongue: I think I stopped coming on here after I'd replaced every part on the Z at least once and didn't need to ask questions anymore :D There was only so many times I could bear describing PTU failure and HICAS warning lights in cold weather to new members :rofl:

Apart from another year without my Z on the road? LOL Finally got the Z jacked up today and found that what I thought was a knackered clutch is nothing more than a hole in the braided clutch hose. It must have only done a couple of thousand miles on the car but had rubbed on the oil filter and split. There was still loads of fluid in the reservoir and the clutch had slipped once or twice before it went so i was sure the clutch had failed and when I looked underneath briefly before the braided hose looked fine. At least it's an easy fix now but the car has been stood outside for so long it's needing a lot of TLC :(

I might come along to this one but as usual I'll be without the Z :(

You're probably right. All the others I've signed just get a standard reply back saying how little starving orphans will die if they reduce tax and do nice things :headvswal

I think you are either prone to it or not. My dad has always had problems and has loads of fillings and other work done. My mum is 65 and never had a thing done in all her life. Only a check up and clean every now and again. Both eat the same stuff and brush twice a day at least.

That's a good enough reason to go with the KYB's then :)

:shock: Called in there last week when I was passing and the guy looks so dodgy I didn't stay 5 minutes. Most of the cars were overpriced rust buckets. Never heard a good word about them in all the years they've been in business. Only stopped because they had one of those mental modded japanese import vans out the front I just had to have a look at :D

:mac1: I think you're taking your hobby a bit too seriously :mac1: A lot of the people at dental college are dental nurses and hygenists just getting qualified for the next stage and have worked in dentistry for years. Takes a long long time to become a dentist you can't just do surgery straight from school :nono: My girlfriend is training at the moment I'm sure I could have sorted you out a cash job at her practice :rofl: She loves all the gory jobs like difficult removals and MASSIVE absesses! :rofl: You're nuts!

LOL I like old school :tongue: Been great on my car and they're adjustable front and rear. Just find it strange there's no mention of them anymore when they are a well known brand and every ****er had them at one point. It's probably like the way everyone swore by Apexi BOV's for a couple of years just because GetGreddy was selling them to everyone on the site when actually they were weedy little farty things for girls :rofl:

What happened to Koni's? Everyone was using them a few years ago when I changed mine.
