  1. We all know that mine is the best by miles :D
  2. Just buy a white tyre pen and fill in the letters ;)
  3. What gets on my nerves at the moment is how everything is "up to 100% better" or the sales are "up to 50% off". One of the best examples is Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo that says something like "up to 100% less flakes" then in small print at the bottom of the screen "for flakes visible at 2m" LOL So basically if you stand far enough away so they aren't visible you may see an improvement in massive flakes somewhere between nothing and something LOL
  4. I was only saying yesterday I haven't been to a proper airshow in about 15 years. Are there still any of the big ones going on like I remember when I was a kid? Most of the ones that I see advertised now are just a fly over from a few planes. I used to go to ones out at the big old airfields like Church Fenton, Farnborough, Mildenhall where they had all the WWII stuff and some serious planes like the SR71 Blackbird etc.
  5. The light is on because the cats are overheating which is usually caused by unburnt fuel getting into them. Most likely to be either a coil pack is loose, bad plugs or a bad PTU. Tighten up the coil packs and clean all the green corrosion off the connectors and it will probably go away. If it's only doing it when really hot there's a chance it's the PTU.
  6. LOL I left it until the last week to do mine and had many a late night going over and over it worrying but it went well in the end. Definately got it on one of my PC's so I'll try to e-mail it over the weekend when I find it.
  7. Mad but what a great result! :D
  8. I bought them used from Kirbz but no idea where you'd get them otherwise  They are Apexi items but not seen any dealers advertising them in UK. The ones in the rides pic are actually the Doolz kit that I used to have before fitting the Apexi ones.
  9. Sure am! Fastest tow car in the west LOL Got a removable, hidden tow bar that snaps into place when needed - which isn't very often. The days when the Z is running and it's good weather for the boat are basically non-existant!
  10. That's why I've kept mine all these years even though it's spent more time on the drive than on the road. It's only going to get more rare to see one :)
  11. LOL When is the wedding? I was best man for my brother and used a couple of best mans speech websites to give me ideas. There's loads of stuff out there - just google "best mans speech". Tailor a few of the old jokes to fit your groom and add a few personal touches about the couple. I was very nervous but after a few seconds I got a laugh and my confidence kicked in. The speech went down REALLY well. I had everyone in stitches and even the vicar who attended the do said it was the best speach he'd ever heard. Would love to do it again now but first time I was terrified! Still got a copy on my PC somewhere if it helps. Best bit was getting off with a gorgeous Irish bridesmaid wearing a sexy corset type thing LOL
  12. I'd like to say none of the above but that's not going to help the situation. Would have to be Conservative much as I hate them all. Lib Dems would probably be a wasted vote as usual :(
  13. There are addons for Internet Explorer or Firefox to do it. Have a search on Google :)
  14. Looking good there! Ever thought of running a high speed taxi service to the Newcastle ground? LOL ;)
  15. LOL I flattened 'em out with a hammer before fitting them :D  Was a guestimate from the "forum experts" a few years ago, I'll revise it down if anyone has the exact figures! :D Can't even remember the piston sizes now but they were the bigger of the options available LOL
  16. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=13 Added a few new pics and some of my favorite old ones. Haven't done it in years! Didn't even know we could have more pics these days LOL :slap:
  17. The problem is the way we pay for all the taxes on cars in this country. Massive tax on fuel. Road tax keeps threatening to go up to £2K for large engines. Fair enough on new cars but not on cars people have owned for years and only use at a weekend. Insurance has to be paid on 2nd and 3rd cars even if they are rarely used. In the rest of the world you insure the driver and use whatever car you like - I bet they don't have half the uninsured driver problems. Imagine if in a year you are paying £1.50 per litre - £90 a tank 4 times a month? I'd get 150 miles on that! £360 fuel per month minimum just for weekends and evening use? £400+ on insurance. £2K on tax. That's £560 per month?!!! + maintenance Our cars are going to become totally worthless very soon as nobody will buy them. I think it's a real shame that sports cars are going to become a thing of the past and even as a weekend car they will be something only the rich can afford to run. All these green taxes and plans are coming in far too early when there really is no alternative to the petrol/diesel engine. Who could use the train or bus unless you live somewhere like London? Oh the politicians can! We don't all commute to an office 5 miles down a main road with bus service and sit on our arses all day before coming home and why should we add another 2 hours to our day waiting for a bus or train that might not turn up? Some of us are in our cars half the day. All this won't matter to the ultra rich who pay just the same tax as everyone else in this country. It's about time all these stealth taxes were cut back and the well off started paying a higher rate. Someone on £20K a year has to pay the same massively taxed monthly bills as a guy on £100K+. So what if a few leave the country? Everyone else is thinking of doing the same anyway!
  18. Well why not you've had a few yourself LOL
  19. Could be rear seal or oil dripping onto turbos. Power steering hoses are a common failure it's probably the long one that runs to the rack needs replacing. Has a metal crimp on it half way up that leaks inside the sleave. Sounds like you bought a bad one! :(
  20. He must be absolutely gutted. All that time and money spent and some little sh1t does that. What a waste  If they get caught they'll just end up with a caution or another day in court with nothing to pay at the end of it.
  21. Ouch! Good news but sounds like the he's been through a nightmare :(
  22. This thread would not be complete without my name cropping up would it LOL
  23. PMSL
