  1. I've finally sorted my last no fault claim out after waiting 6 months to get £600 of excess and expenses refunded and today my new insurer calls me to say I haven't provided proof of CAT1 alarm and immobiliser! It's been fitted for 5 years now and after changing insurance a few times I no longer have any of the slips that came with the alarm. They want a sheet of letterhead from a garage to say it has one fitted as proof within 14 days. I called my local ICE/alarm centre and they want £20 to do it! FFS Does anybody have a garage who can just write on a sheet of paper that I have a bloody alarm? Chris "Sick of insurance red tape" Carter.
  2. Yes that's a standard '99 spec Z. You can buy the bits but they won't be too cheap.
  3. LMFAO!
  4. LOL thats quite funny for you Roy :D
  5. Generally, the parts with paint on are very reliable ;)
  6. Good look to the Shrimps, there's nothing like being there to see it for yourself. Jeez, that's a bit drastic - hope she used a sharp knife ;)
  7. Have a read of the FAQ section: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43
  8. I asked this question a couple of months ago. I ordered them and when they arrived I took them out of the bags and didn't know which was which. Just stuck em on and I had no probs LOL
  9. Are you going on a diet?
  10. One is leaking at the front where the braided hose meets the hard pipe to the caliper but they were all renewed. The other is at the rear where the braided pipe joins to the car. They are both leaking from the thread by the look of things. This is what I previously tightened twice anyway, I haven't had a look since all the fluid has gone so it could be something worse I suppose

Surely you mean BoyLady without the meat and 2 veg
  12. Don't think they are banjo joins, just the normal brake pipe threaded connectors?
  13. Never made it :( Went out at 10pm on saturday and the brake pedal just went to the floor :o All my tools etc were at my parents so didn't have time to fix it and get to Elvington

I never made it as I lost all my brake fluid on saturday night and had the option of getting up early and trying to bleed the brakes or spend all day in bed with a Brazilian beauty... The brakes are still fooked! I was looking forward to this too :(
  16. In the last couple of days I've lost most of my brake fluid. After fitting the R34 calipers and braided brake hoses I seem to be getting a bit of fluid leaking from a couple of the hose joints under pressure. Only seems like the odd drip but it must have got worse over the weekend because on saturday night I got in the car and there was no pedal at all! Never made it to Ten Of The Best :( I've tightened the brake hoses a few times now and it still seems to be happening. Is this common and is there something I should be using to seal the joins?
  17. I bought a pair of terminals from Maplin a few weeks ago to do my own earth kit and they are both too small for my Bosch battery. I've had this before on other cars so I can only assume there is no standard size for battery terminals. I'll have to file a tiny amount off the battery post I think.
  18. I have a full set of plenum water hoses too if anyone is wants them for a few squids.
  19. I think I'll be there about 10:30ish
  20. Yeah, that's the biggest bog roll holder on the back that i've ever seen! :xxx: You could get 30 rolls on that thing :D
  21. Bomex make one but it's silly money for what it is.
  22. Anybody going to this at Elvington airfield on Sunday? I think I'll be there in my Z but not taking part LOL
