  1. hmmm for mine to work it had to have the sender earthed , and I used a pipe adaptor and mine had a earth screw on it. I think its a suck it and see moment.
  2. the one in the pic has a small screw in the corner of it , that is for earthing it.

  4. if u are using the metal adapter pipe there will be a little crosshead screw on it for earthing the sender. If the sender is fitted to a metal water pipe it will earth itself through contact with engine
  5. remember the sender and gauge must have a good earth

I really do believe we should spend a weekend at birds helping the guy out, Lets make it a big Z meet and publicise it as good stuff for the website if needed, a few hundred Z's turning up should get publicity for any garages willing to help out, or if its even just a few good mechs and a few spanner monkeys turn out we should be able to do something for his ailing Z

  22. the conversion is easy and I ran the earth from my headlight bulb mount to the body so that dip stays on with the high beam, the hard part is gettin ya hands in there to do it

  24. the restriction causes extra boost which the ecu fuels for. One of the reasons im worried is that if its boosting higher the ecu isnt normally set up for that. a aftermarket chip will allow it to fuel for higher boost and adjust the timing to cope with it
