  1. I am using the turborevs boost controller and and am getting half a second of boost spike between 3rd and 4th gear which hits 16.5 psi, is this half a second dangerous or not? or would i need a longer spike to cause problems? cheers
  2. First of all before giving to the garage do the easy stuff first Fault code check might just point you towards a really easy fix Change the temp sensor anyway as it doesnt always show on a fault code test and its piece of piss

  4. in all honesty when i went to the main dealers for a oil filter the parts guy told me the mechs havnt got a clue on em now as remember it is a old ( complicated) car and they dont see many of em.

  6. I fitted a apexi filter and it hates the rain due to my vented nose panel, I made a quick fix by fitting a rain shield out of half a bucket and fastening it above the filter and the problem has gone
  7. there is only one question to be asking and that is are you happy with the work carried out, personally I wouldnt be.If you arnt happy go back and give them a chance to sort it out and see what they say.
  8. datascan wont show fuel pressure but will show if the fuel temp sensor is fubared, you will still need to connect a fuel pressure gauge to get fuel press

  10. dont worry bud we all started somewhere datascan is a ecu diagnostic program which wires up via your diag port in the drivers footwell and needs someone with a computer and cable to work
  11. surely for the same pedal movement the butterfly opening is larger so it flows more air than the smaller butterfly even part open
  12. more throttle response because the butterfly is larger so flows air a bit quicker , youre right about a plenum being a bottleneck( thats really incorrect its more to do with the headwork) but with the turbos forcing the induction its less a issue.

  14. easiest first stop is a coolant temp sensor and maybe a fuel temp sensor change, check for fault codes,someone may have earthed your fuel pump control unit if it failed and the fuel pump is on high power all the time because of this.As said before might be boost leak but at idle this shouldnt affect the result that much. HTH
