  1. any rough idea of how much & what diameter vacuum hose you need to replace the vacuum hoses on a TT? most deletes are done so that must save a bit LOL!
  2. Bloody lovely mate  one of my customers has just bought one - hes a Merc man through & through with various cars including a CLK Black Edition & fully Carllson tuned SL55 AMG - said it took him some time to get his head around the Nissan badge (LOL!) but he loves it. Had a track day at Silverstone in one last year - that was an awesome experience & blew away all of the other cars on the circuit! Love it mate - enjoy!
  3. I cut my finger working on my mates Landrover yesterday - gave me a wakeup call not to work on crap like that again!!
  4. LOL! Bonkers! :w00t: however I liked this bit: well there is a reason this 180SX chassis needs the 1100 or so horsepower it is currently running. In a few months this car will be driven by Ueta around the famous Nardó high speed ring in the south of Italy where it will be attempting to get as close as possible to the 400 km/h mark (248.5 mph). The event is being organized by Option Magazine who has also invited tuners like Phoenix’s Power and Top Secret to join with their fastest R35 GT-Rs. All of that work squeezing a monster mad up to date powerhouse of an engine in & its still nowhere near the speed of the fastest Zed :punk:
  5. Happy Christmas all!!!! Just browsing the forum on my prezzie from my girlfriend. My new iPad!! :cool3:
  6. you would need to confirm with the seller - but they do look the same as my brakes which were GTR R33 brembos. However there are many different brembos fitted to many makes & models of cars with different size/fitment so I wouldnt want to say for sure!!
  7. ps - R33 GTR bolt straight on whereas Z33 brembos & R34 GTR brakes require the hubs drilling out as they use larger diameter bolts to hold the calipers on :)
  8. you need the GTR R33 calipers - non GTR are similar to stock Z32 ones Z33 with brembo brakes are also a similar size to the GTR brakes (but use different offset discs to the GTR) R34 GTR are also another option
  9. its pretty easy - a couple of the inner screws are a little tricky to get on but other than that a simple job to remove
  10. also look here: http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/faciaremoval.html :)
  11. Finally got a high score in 9 ball pool only not to show up - gutted!! :crying: oh well - here it is:
  12. I'd hate to see what your welding is like then!!
  13. LOL!! that was over 10 years ago - I had far more time than money!!!!
  14. I had a V6 merc in the workshop the other day that had sucked water in - oil pump had been thrown through the sump pan and was sitting on the subframe & a big hole on either side of the block! Nasty!
  15. LOL! to be fair I paid bugger all for mine cos I have them at work :tt2: wouldnt have had the same comedy value in regards to the 1990's comment though  also fully manually adjustable - I fitted 1.2mm ones & didnt get enough boost so manually removed them & manually fitted 1.0mm tips :D
  16. they are also soooo £1.99
  17. mig tips are just a far cheaper way of regulating boost pressure than an expensive EBC for tight arses like me
  18. KYB AGX adjustable shocks with Eibach springs are a nice upgrade & you can tweak the damping level to suit you. I went with these & adjustable front upper arms & tension rods & it really does make a big difference. If you did not want it too hard then I would probably not fit the adjustable arms as they replace the rubber bushes with bearings & just replace any worn bushes with stock (although some bushes I believe are not available so you may need to buy new arms!)
  19. I completely agree - many years ago I rebuilt my stock calipers & fitted uprated discs & pads & while this is a massive improvement over a set of brakes with sticking calipers (which mine was & probably many others on here have without even realising LOL!) it was never really good! The Brembo GTR upgrade is a massive improvement over a fully working stock system & the benefits are immediately obvious - in fact as Nissan had these in their parts bin I do wonder why they did not fit them to the zed as standard, especially on the TT version! a fairly cheap & well worthwhile upgrade :) heres a link to my upgrade: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?150484-My-R33-GTR-Brembo-brake-upgrade!&highlight= HTH
  20. Has it taken you 3 months just to get that far?!?! - - - Updated - - - Has it taken you 3 months just to get that far?!?!
  21. cool - reminds me of this lot, a martial arts demo team from Toronto:
  22. LOL!! Next PM to me will be about how to change the torque converter I feel (or many other components in the transmission!)
  23. LOL! So true - and any list with a DeLorean in it has to be questionable IMO!! What a piece of crap that thing was LOL!! I have driven & worked on a couple many years ago & was gutted at how crap they were as I had always liked how they looked!!
  24. There we go - the LWB Z32 is clearly the better option, almost the same dimensions as an F1 car. Dunno about your pub argument but that solves a long standing forum one!
  25. Id whip the plugs out & turn it over by hand to see if any water has made it into the cylinders
