  5. it is prob where its been standing. mine done that after being in the bodyshop for 2 months. took it up the road & nearly sh*t myself!! couldnt see a thing behind me. gave it a good run & it cleared. :)
  6. using carb cleaner would be a better idea, it would pick the revs up at idle if it finds its way into an air leak
  7. the injectors are going to be the bottleneck in your setup, get bigger injectors!!
  8. PCV valves are Positive Crankcase Ventilation valves, they are part of the breather system. as they get old they can cause oil to burn & smoke from the exhaust. they are quite cheap so just replace them with the hoses. they are located either side of the plenum :)
  9. a full 60k service is really in order courtesy nissan in the states do a cam belt kit, including water pump seals etc etc. worth getting & doing it all if your replacing the cam belt IMO. dont forget PCV valves & hoses. oh yeah - get those T tops of & have some fun :D
  10. PMSL!! i'll put in £3.50 too then if that happens! :D

  16. ok, that rules that out :D fuel pumps are usually tested for currant draw, pressure & flow. might be worth testing those next.
  17. could also be air mass sensor, they can often give a feeling of holding back & make the car generally feel "flat" fairly easy to swap over to test, esp if you have an aftermarket cone air filter
  18. LOL!! after that technical description there should now be no doubt at all!! :D
  19. web site prices were generally the same or cheaper than the TT.net discount anyway
  20. Lmao!! :D
  21. much easier with an air gun, but i dont suppose that helps you much ;)
  22. well theres so many different opinions on "stages" but mine has: induction, exhaust, chip, 16psi, lightweight F/W, underdrive pulley. also uprated clutch & traction control. 0-60 timed on a G-Tech pro at 4.7secs  if you go auto its gonna cost you as you'll prob be needing a fast road rebuild. also uprated cooler
  23. the PTU wont stop the starter turning :slap:
  24. DCOE's were sidedraughts, the 3.0l lump would need down draughts. how we laughed when we fitted a 40DCOE to my mates mini. the intakes came through the bulkhead into the car. start up from cold in the morning, the thing would backfire & burn all your hairs of your hand on the gearknob! :D
  25. have you done an ecu diagnostic to see if you have code 34? safety boost is 7psi
