  1. all bolts on our cars use a metric thread anyway!! :D
  2. it this gonna make much difference?? surely the amount of max boost you can run is going to be limited by the compressor housing/wheel, not what bearing you have. ok its gonna help with spool up, but would it make that much difference to boost?

ps, got a feeling the US one may be different to a UK one anyway! ;)

have you tried mike feeney @ MJP in the traders section??
  5. iv got a JWT, which is a K&N style filter (rebaged?) for the Z32. no complaints here, there good value, last forever (with cleaning) & you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference between 1 performance filter & another on the road IMO.
  6. T25/28 hybrid usually means a larger T28 compressor mounted to a smaller T25 turbine. (hense "hybrid" of 2 turbos) this gives larger air flow with a quicker spool up. they may also modifiy the wheels in the housings also :)
  7. it will depend on what the wastegate actuators are set at
  8. hasnt 51X got T28's - im sure hes running 20odd psi???
  9. LOL!! well if it has too much oil in id correct that 1st!! PCV valves & hoses is about an hour or so. the parts are not that expensive & its worth changing them anyway
  10. standard boost is 9.5psi, at max. under light throttle conditions you may have less than that. the stock gauge is pants so dont take the readings off of that too seriously!!
  11. if your getting a good spark on that cyl (i presume theyve had the coils out with plugs on to test) then its unlikely to be that!
  12. were the tappets out of the old heads?? if they were, & the heads had been off for a long time they could be siezed if moisture has got into them

iv got the sport street in my zed running 400bhp. its a very nice clutch with a stock like feel. the street disc is more drivable & wears better than the puck version, which will obviously hold more power. id speak to smithy who's a RPS supplier on here :)
  14. random statement alert!! :D
  15. yeah, my boost was a rock steady 12psi with 1.2mm jets :)
  16. air filter, zorst, chip, boost increase. you'll also need clutch upgrade(fast road rebuild if auto) chuck in a lightwieght flywheel at the same time if your feeling flush! underdrive pulley & off you go :D
  17. as ryan say, use jets. bleed valves vent to atmosphere affecting air mass. boost jets dont! look here for more info on jets :)
  18. same as on the JUN car IIRC too
  19. because hes not running a lawnmower engine???????????? ;) :D
  20. are all of them noisy or is it just 1 or 2?? is it a specific bank??
  21. apparently they are aiming for 1600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. http://www.escort-us.com/files/racecar.html
  23. yes, they have tyres. rears are about 1/2 worn. the fronts are scrubbed out on the outer edges IIRC
  24. i wouldnt drive it if its that noisey!! run it up at about 2krpm & get it hot. if alls ok the noise should go. have you checked the oil pressure??
  25. if you want to go for stock ones, iv got a UK set sitting here that i should really get rid of
