  1. I heard it was a double decker.
  2. All the engine bits used look standard so apart from the decat the power should be standard, about 300 bhp, thats if it is set up properly. Looks horrible as well.

I have a lot on late afternoon but will endeavor to make this meet. It would be nice to see you all.
  4. Blimey Si, I just glimped this thread. I'm sorry your feeling this way fella. I will tidy my garage up and you can park it in with mine for a couple of months, then see if you miss it. If you don't then you know its time to sell it.
  5. Road tax does not affect your insurance after all if it is not taxed but parked up it can still be fully insured. What about when you take it for an MoT when the tax has expired, are you then not insured also, which goes to show that you are insured even without an MoT.

Anyone go to this and get any pics.?:)
  7. Get the vehicle put up on a ramp or similar, and inspect all the suspension parts. If a TT the Hicas could also be damaged and that would really only be noticeable above 50mph. Its sounds as though you have been lucky but still inspect, just to be safe.

I have never done a Tatsu meet, but there is always a first. Sounded as though some people were upset at the last meet by the drive afterwards.
  9. I use cheap old vaseline and have never had problems.

How about Weston for a meet, at this time of year you can now park on the beach for free. I am sure there must be some OK pubs in or around the area for a drink and some grub.
  11. Obviously refering to the old loom.
  12. Thats link is normal on some Zeds, the 3 that I have owned all had a wire link.
  13. Obviously the paint job, interior trim and the exhaust added over a 100 bhp to the power. An expensive way of doing it I think.
  14. You won't have to think too hard about a New Year resolution then.;)
  15. Crap photos. I don't understand people going through the motion of selling their car and posting up such rubbish pics. It don't take much to present the vehicle properly and it also then results in someone truly interested, getting in touch.
  16. Im am not surprised but very sad to see you go, you put a lot of effort into arranging meets. I hope we still see you around.;)

Obviously not Murt, and me and Jimmer are not available next Saturday, and then its Christmas...........ugh.
  18. Get in touch with Rice Rocket in the traders section, or go on his web site. He is doing some great deals on brakes discs etc., and the rears that I have bought are very good quality, and value. Excellent service too.:)

I quite like mince pies, and nipples too come to think of it. I don't think we will find anywhere doing that sort of gig Si. We might be able to find a Father Christmas with a warm knee to sit on.:)

Whoopee, I was beginning to think we had a bunch of non drinking Plymouth Brethren in the group. Where and when then, somewhere central so that we can get south, east and north of the region to join in, and easy to get to, i.e., off the motorway, off the A38 etc.,:hyper:
  21. If the car is in top condition mechanical wise, then yes it is a brilliant track day car, if you have any doubts about condition, then a track day will highlight any weaknesses and usually end up in engine failure. The biggest problem I found is the rise in water temperature which is reflected in the oil temperature which results in a lower oil pressure and bang, big ends gone. Sometime just the headgasket goes.
  22. Zogg had tham welded up because they kept coming undone.;)

Just call me Martini, any time, any place and anywhere. This has been round before with little response. I put it down to the current financial situation, which is quite understandable, but surely we can just me up for a pint and best wishes.......it is Christmas FFS. I am happy to stand everyone a pint / short / juice or whatever your wet mixture is, lets get together before the winter turns horrible in the New year.:duffer:
  24. Have you made sure that all your electrical connections are clean, PTU, CAS, TPS, MAF and the connector on the Idle Control Valve. I had a similar problem on my blue car but it just cut out and would not restart until an hour later. This continued even after fitting a series 2 PTU, and I then decided to clean all the connections mentioned above 'properly'....and it ran like a watch.
  25. That probably slows it down as opposed to applying down force.
